The C stand is pretty good in quality and it is quite heavy from the look of the product. I guess it provides me a sense of security and prevents my lights from tipping over.

Stand is well made and can support a large laptop regarding dimensions and weight.� For extra security I applied velcro to the stand's table surface and back of my laptop for extra protection in the unlikely event it gets knocked over.

I can pack this inside my Think Tank Airport security bag. The stand feels well built. Im not sure how much actual weight it can handle but I was able to mount a Flashpoint 200 with 20 inch octobox and it was ok. I wouldnt try it outside with any wind. The feet must be on level ground and you will have to torque the wingnuts to hold heavier loads. So far Ive had no problems and Im considering a second for out of town travel. These would perfect with speed lights for an on-the-go setup.
