Security Camera Through Window At Night

Have had the door/window sensors with the Smart Camera with voice controls for a few weeks now and have been very surprised with the performance so far. We currently have a wired home security system we have been thinking of replacing, and think we will be going with the Ecobee Security. When one of the doors is opened the Ecobee sensors actually notify my phone a half second before the wired alert from our current system, very impressive. Also love these sensors have motion sensors built in, big plus and help. So far the only flaw we’ve seen is that the camera will go “offline” and cannot view live video, but it seems to still records when someone enters in front of the camera and the sensors performance has not been effected by this. Usually a quick unplug/restart of the camera fixes this, but would like to find out if this is a widespread issue or just my camera doing this. Overall very happy with these products and will be testing the security suite to see how well it performs, and also plan on upgrading our AC Thermostat with the Ecobee one as well. 5 |

I picked up this camera to point outside through a window from inside. I've tried a few other cameras before (Waze and Tapo, among others) but none of them checked all the boxes for me. I initially was looking for cameras that would record to my Synology NAS, but of the ones that would record natively to my NAS, none of them has the quality I was looking for. Since I have recently replaced my router and switch with Ubiquiti gear, I decided to give the Ubiquiti camera a shot. I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I like these cameras. First, the setup was a breeze. The app on iOS (iPhone and iPad) are excellent. The motion sensing was simple to setup and configure the alerts for (though I could only get the geofencing to work when I had recently opened the Protect app). To get the camera to show a good picture through the window at night, I had to disable the LED for the night vision because it cause a glare off the Window. I'm pretty sure I would get better night vision if I didn't have it going through the window, but for my situation, I can't have the camera outside, so this was the best option available. Bottom line, if I need another camera, I'll be looking at this one or one of Ubuiquiti's other cameras first. 5 |

This is one of two cameras I purchased for a simple security system for my home. Hik-Vision products were recommended to me by friends with experience in real-world security. Purchasing the system from B&H was a breeze, given the level of expert advice I received from their customer service reps. This camera covers our front driveway and approach to our front door. Installation was easy after watching videos on the Hik-Vision website and You-tube. I mounted it to a 1/2 thick Starboard disk I made, to cushion the camera from my stucco eaves. It provides outstanding picture quality day and night. I appreciate the color images at night. I have not yet figured out the use of the built-in speaker/mic, nor all the parameters for receiving notifications of moving objects. 5 |

Love our new security camera. Great view even at night. Love being able to hear what is going on and being able to talk through it. It is very sensitive so getting lots of alerts. 5 |

Easy to SetUp,Potentially Portable,No Monthly Cost The Lorex Home Center with two Wifi cameras has to be the easiest security system that I have ever setup. The system consists of two 1080p wifi cameras and a base station with a touch screen that displays the video from the cameras. All you have to do is download the app, plug in the base station, and plug in the cameras. The app is then used to setup the cameras wirelessly. Because the cameras and base station are plugged in and not hard wired, the base station can be moved from room to room or the system can potentially be used at another location. The wifi cameras are designed for outdoor use; however, I setup one outdoors on my back porch and the other inside looking out through my front window. Video from the back porch camera was very clear and video through the front window was as clear as possible considering that there will be reflection from the window. The base station also includes voice control so that if you wanted to see what is happening in your backyard you would say something like "Lorex, show me backyard." In summary, if you are looking for an easy to setup security system that can potentially be used at several locations and with no monthly cost, I would recommend considering the Lorex Home Center. 5 |

I love shooting food at restaurants and always try to get by a window which can be challenging sometimes, especially at night. Solution: Lume Cube Panel Mini. With more than ample light it is discreet enough to use without drawing the whole rooms attention. Definitely upped my game on that front. 5 |
