I have a total of 5 cameras on this system up and running on the Lorex Smart Home Security Center . It is "basically " straight forward to get them running..... but not easy. you need to have passwords for each and identifying "names' of each. It is best to have all this info in a note on your phone so you can copy and paste it later in all the needed locations rather than figure out each one in real time

Installation was straightforward, mounted under the eaves of my roof, although it took me a minute to interpret the Ikea-like instructions for removing the cover when adjusting and installing. His-Vision had a digital video on their website that was helpful with that. Daytime picture quality is terrific. Nighttime is good, although this type of camera uses infrared, so the image is black and white. I have not fully mastered setting parameters for notifications, thanks to ADHD. Someday . . .

After some undesirable "activities" in our areas, we wanted some security cameras without being tied to an entire system. This Vosker V300 Ultimate caught my eye with the solar panel and lithium battery system. After a painless set up and activation. My test pix are exactly what we wanted. Video option available as well! Also, the packaging was top notch and I think an indication of the quality of the camera.

It provides outstanding picture quality day and night. I appreciate the color images at night. I have not yet figured out the use of the built-in speaker/mic, nor all the parameters for receiving notifications of moving objects.

Initially I set up my security system of two cameras and the DVR on a single 12v 3A power adapter with a splitter cable. Everything worked but there were squigglies in the brightest areas of one camera feed. I added this power adapter to drive just that (4k) camera and the squigglies disappeared. Video from the back porch camera was very clear and video through the front window was as clear as possible considering that there will be reflection from the window. The base station also includes voice control so that if you wanted to see what is happening in your backyard you would say something like "Lorex, show me backyard." In summary, if you are looking for an easy to setup security system that can potentially be used at several locations and with no monthly cost, I would recommend considering the Lorex Home Center.
