First - I wish I knew B&H was going to sell these because I bought mine direct from Pixii and would have used B&H. Now the camera is definitely different and I didn't want to buy a used M8, M-P, etc... But I down own a used M10-R and wanted to use the lenses on another body. I really love the concept of this camera but it will not suit everyone, so know what you are buying. Its really fun to use, viewfinder and focusing with a variety of lenses has been perfect. I tend to use 21mm or 28mm Voigtlander and TTArtisan lenses to adjust for the crop factor and still shoot wide. There is a learning curve to this, so for me, I had to map the double-tap of the back button to be exposure comp for instance. But it can be many other functions. I do occasionally get strange failures, so you may not want to use this for your critical shots, but for my casual use its fine. The mobile app is good but needs some tweaks. I do like how quickly the pictures transfer on WiFi, plus the firmware and software updates over the air are nice. And when you contact support, you get directly to an actual engineer type, which is really cool. A luxury while the company is small but its so nice for now. So try this if you are curious and do not give up on it if its not a Leica, its just different. 5 |
