After listening the SRH1540 for a week, I have no other choice than selling my Momentums, B&W P7, and the Beats Studio Wireless. I just can not stand their artificial sound...Certainly, $ is not easy to spend on headphones but when you buy something that sounds like $, it's well worth it. The SRH1540 are big, so keep that in mind if you are planning to use them during a flight. Their use makes more sense at home, on a nice comfy sofa. At first, they sounded great with my 15 inch macbook pro retina. However, I had previously purchased the Audioquest dragonfly v1.2 (DAC/AMP) and the sound now is spectacular. A 5 star product. How did I find these headphones between so many brands, well, after reading the review from what hi*fi? Best 2014 home headphones. If you haven't read that review yet, take the time to do it. 5 |
