I have both Sennheiser & Koss headphones before but Sennheiser has always fit me the best. I needed a Pro headphone that would really, really filter out outside ambient noise because of the recording of the show that takes place in an animal shelter. The Sennheiser HD280 Pro sounds great and more importantly eliminates just about all outside ambient wonderfully. And the headphones sound great with my A/V receiver to boot!! 5 |

I usually use my highend Sennheiser headphones during my music time. Now I spend less time with my headphone. I am so happy with this Play 5 sound quality. It create vibration out of my wooden floor, the small effect that create live music feeling. In my previous speaker, I need to adjust the setting to meet the best setting of each music, with this play 5 what I need is only set the volume. The istalation was very easy. It did not required my wifi password. 5 |

I bought a pair on a whim because I got tired of using Airpod Pros 2 IEMs to use while on the couch or in bed waiting for the kids to fall asleep. I am into the Audiophile hobby so I am nitpicky when it comes to sound but obviously for wireless devices I understand sacrifices have to be made. I own a Hifiman Susvara, a Focal Utopia, and Sennheiser HD800S, all of which are considered summit-fi headphones which I use when stationary at my audio stack at my PC Desktop so I know what good heaphones sound like. The headphones are slightly consumer tuned to be warmer on the bass region (typical) but not overly annoying. ANC isn't as good as Apple solutions but sound quality is leaps above it. The sound quality is definitely on par with Focal's sub-$1000 offerings and they are more resolving than my classic Sennheiser HD650 for sure. Where I find this shines is with the Sound Personalization feature in the app where it auto-EQs based on your hearing capability. If this is your only pair of audiophile grade headphones, you'll appreciate the DAC feature where you can plug it into your USB jack of your PC to feed a pure digital signal to the headphone's built in DAC/AMP, this is where I feel this headphone performs its best (though BT is still best in class amongst its wireless peers). For anyone who just needs a pair of audiophile wireless headphones that can be used as a wired version (USB or headphone jack) as well look no further. As of the latest firmware version I do not notice any delay playing music or content on my phone as other users have noted. 5 |

The hearing is going, so I rigged it up with a headphone amp with headphones to watch (and now I can hear!) TV. Never had a pro EQ before, but for my purpose this is an A1 buy. 5 |

The main feature is that you CAN hear outside voices and noises - which is why you WOULD buy this headphone. Excellent sound. Highs very crisp. Mid range is is clear as any others. Bass needs an amp. These high impedance headphones need an amp to really get the bass to PUNCH. Any one who tells you otherwise is blowing smoke up your (you know what). This applies to ALL high impedance headphones out there that DO NOT not have an amp. All fellow EEs out there please chime in on this! There are a plethora of amps out there but if you are a project person try this one. Bass Bump headphone amp - YouTube. You get what to need at a low price - but need to know how to use a soldering iron and a few other tools. 5 |

I use this amp with the headphone output of an audio console. It did not have enough gain to get sufficient volume to hear over the live environment. With this amp, I can easily get enough volume to hear my record mix, as well any solo from the board I need. It can drive my headphones to their distortion level, so I know I can get the max volume, when I need it, from my monitoring headphones. I plugged it in, set the level, and effectively forgot about it, which is exactly what I wanted. 5 |

I've been trying to find the right combination of headphones and headphone amplifier to use with my I Pod while riding my Harley. Getting past the loud exhaust is not easy. Last month I found a headphone amp built for bikes at electric avenues (amplirider) which had so much gain that my headphones couldn't handle it without distorting. Before I bought the porta-pro's I bought just about every name brand headphones there was. Gary at electric avenues recommended Koss Porta-Pro's and all I can say is WoW. Great bass and full range, they can handle my amp without distorting and Its the only over the head band that doesn't interfere with wearing a half helmet. If you ride these are the ones and if you don't, same thing. 5 |

Situated between my source and my headphone amp, this little unit proved an ideal addition and enabled me to dial in the frequency performance of my headphones with subtle adjustments without compromising signal quality or adding any noise or undue input whatsoever. Many headphones don’t deliver every frequency band with equal dynamics, and those that excel at neutrality may need help delivering a more appealing soundstage. The 4-band Bellari EQ570 provides ample cut or boost in essentially the bass, mid-bass, midrange, and treble frequencies such that you can tailor your listening experience with precision. Great headphones sound even better. This is an efficient, affordable little device and it has my recommendation. 5 |

The HD 800 S is very comfortable and feel exactly the same as the old HD 800. The sound stage and imaging are amazing (like before) and Sennheiser (finally) fixed that high peak and added a little more power to the bass. However, I feel that they are still as picky in terms of amp-pairings. Definitely do your homework on pairings (try them out at a local hi-fi store/audio meet) before dishing out for these. They may sound fine on some amps but are lackluster on others and require more power than most other headphones out there. Accessories are the usual except they now come with the balanced cable -- which used to cost $400 separately. I can't comment on the difference in sound between the unbalanced 1/4 and balanced XLR cables as I haven't spent the time to A/B test them, but it's nice of Sennheiser to include this if you ever need to switch to an amp with only balanced outputs. The included cables are a bit long if you're not in a studio, but if you have the money for this pair of headphones, you can probably afford a custom, shorter cable for portable/at-home use. 5 |
