Sennheiser 600 Review

Works well. Decreases the wind noise well on Sennheiser MKE 600.

I bought this item to go along with my Sennheiser MKE 600 shotgun mic. Which is fantastic, by the way.

Easy to use, versatile. I usually use it with my Sennheiser MKE 600 microphone and get very clean sound.

I bought the K&M 210/9 Tripod Microphone Stand with Telescoping Boom to use with my Sennheiser MKE 600 without realizing the end of the mic stand was a different thread system than the 1/4" thread I was expecting. This adapter worked perfectly and allowed me to mount my Sennheiser MKE 600 onto the mic stand. Bottom line: YES, if you need an adapter, this one works great!

There's not much to say. It fits perfectly in the cold shoe. It fits my Sennheiser MKE 600 perfectly and the clip is springy enough to work with something a little bigger or a little smaller.

Works beautiful on the end of my boom pole (monopod). My Sennheiser MKE 600 fits perfectly-tight, no slippage.

I have a Sennheiser MKE 600 that I use for filming interviews and short films and it's excellent. I purchased this Synco on a deal if the day for 99.00 as a back up and for when I need a second microphone. It has a different sound than the Sennheiser, perhaps a little more bass, but that could be a filter setting. However it's a solid microphone and very impressed with the build quality and also the case that is included. Additionally, both an xlr to xlr and xlr to 1/8 cable is included. At its regular price of 199 it's still a super value, almost 50% less than the Sennheiser and considerably less than the Rode. It's also a hyper cardioid so great to have an alternative more focused pickup pattern. I think the MKE 600 is one of the best microphones available in its class at 1k and under, and I would have no problem substituting the Synco when needed.

I used this with my Sennheiser Mke 600 Shotgun Mic in 40-50 mph winds and it did amazing (award-winning). If the wind was coming at me it knocked the wind noise down significantly (if I was facing away from the wind it didn't make much of a difference since but that's not the windshield's fault. This thing has some flexibility as well when storing and it fits snug on the mic. Fibers are sturdy so you won't have to worry about it coming apart -- good quality.
