Sennheiser Budget Headphones Review

As an audiophile and an owner of some of the best headphones from Sennheiser and others, I must say that the AirPods Max Headphones are excellent - - in fact they are terrific. The sound quality is superb and the headphones are extremely comfortable. This product gets my highest rating of 5/5.

This would be the Illmatic of Headphones for DJs. Sennheiser kept If it ain't broke, don't try fix it. Many user replaceable parts. Light weights construction for hours of use without fatigue. I believe 2024 marks the 35 years anniversary of this headphones. As glasses wearer, on-ear nature of this headphones works wonder. Since nothing existed in this world is perfect, here are few cons; little thin and easy to get tangled straight cable, coiled cable is also nice to have but little to heavy and long for my taste. Although included Pleather pads are comfy, and gets worn out rather quick. Invest in velour pads like ones from DT770.

As a low-budget no-budget one-person-band videographer, I appreciate the Sennheiser MKE 600 for providing me quality audio in many shooting situations in return for a relatively moderate cost. My long background in TV news on both sides of the camera informs my current run-and-gun unscripted shooting style. Often there isn't time to switch from mic to mic as circumstances dictate. So this is where the MKE 600 shines - either on a boom or mounted on the camera. I depend on this mic to deal with fast-changing situations and it always delivers. The Sennheiser brand name stands for high quality and good value. Look up workhorse in the dictionary and you may find a picture of the Sennheiser MKE 600.

I passed on a more expensive Sennheiser kit to manage my budget, and I pleasantly surprised by this unit. It was a breeze to set up and sync, and the sound quality is great for run and gun interviews. Being able to use 2 mics on 1 tiny receiver, and switching effortlessly between lavaliers and handhelds is great. I am always prepared for for whatever happens on site. The transmitters use rechargeable AA batteries, so I dont have to worry about keeping multiple battery sizes. The antenna on the lavaliere transmitter is a little flimsy, but I havent broken it yet.

I've always gone for inexpensive headphones and  was ok with that, until I tried on the Sennheiser HD280 & realized I deserved a great pair of headphones that had great sound and kept out all the room noise around me. ... Been using them mostly on my computer to edit video with, and a couple times for recording interviews... ... They're very comfortable, sound is great.. but have to remember to take them off occassionaly to let my ears breath...   Did you know ears can sweat ?

I've used Sennheiser Wireless Headphones for years...With all the new technology, I thought it was time to upgrade...Amazing clarity and comfort...The advances in sound quality compared to my old set is very noticeable...Glad I upgraded...

Let's start by saying these headphones are amazingly comfortable. As soon as you put them on, you feel the foam adjust to your head and it sounds like your in a studio. The audio quality...Just wow. I can't get the speakers to clip or even distort. Music and sounds that used to make audio fuzzy and distorted now come in crystal clear. These headphones make even 44.1k audio sound like a beast. Construction...no complaints. You are wearing these for the audio, not the fashion. It is indeed plastic and not the thickest or strongest, so don't expect them to take the abuse some people put headphones through when they travel. Finally, the overall wow factor. You just don't need to spend more on headphones than these right here. I have used headphones from the $10 budget to the $700 budget and these are all you need. If you want the alloy coating and steel construction, then sure. Spend more. But if you plan to keep your headphones in a studio or somewhere else safe, these will make your setup feel perfect.

For this low of a price, I have not found a better sounding headphone---it destroys some headphones at 3 to 4 times its price. I play music ( hobby) and my tastes are varied--will listen to anything--love jazz/fusion/ rock/classical/electronic/world/gospel/acoustic/new age / DCI drum corps. I am running a standard laptop and an old Audioquest Dragonfly v1.0 DAC--poor man's budget stuff, nothing fancy. With this combo, depth, soundstage, instrument timbres and tonal balance are amazing at this price. CONS: semi-fragile construction--take care of them ( ! ), presently a goofy look ( consumers may want to get out the Krylon !-- my opinion--sorry, Koss ! What happened to the-- more attractive IMHO-- all black KTXPRO design?). Very satisfying sound; I continue to be impressed every time I listen. Personally, I think this is a budget audiophile classic, and I have been a fan of it for decades through its various incarnations ( even back to the Optimus Pro 35 Radio Shack days !) A MUST buy on a budget---you will not be disappointed at this price. Despite the present look ( ! ), well done, Koss !
