Sennheiser had discontinued their case for the HD-25 headphones. This is a good roomy fit for the headphones

These are literally my favorite headphones that I've ever owned. You really can't go wrong with Sennheiser. I'm super grateful that I obtained these since they're discontinuing them. They sound more rich than my HD 25 set, and they're more comfortable. I'll keep the HD 25 set for DJ gigs, but these are their slightly classier studio-grade sibling.

I wear these constantly, to listen to music and DVDs and to block out unwanted noise. I chose them first and foremost for their sound reproduction: the frequency range, approximately 12 Hz to 38MHz, if I remember correctly, is almost unparalleled. (For some strange and very mistaken--okay, stupid--reason, B&H no longer has complete specifications for these headphones.) You'll just have to take my word for it, the sound is terrific, and the more demanding the music (e.g., heavy-duty, industrial-strength classical or opera, the music of Jim Steinman, Sylvester Levay, Ennio Morricone, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, many Russian and Eastern European composers, the more Sennheiser's HD 25 headphones demonstrate their superiority. As far as the minor considerations go, yes, these are very lightweight but seem to be well-made and sturdy; they are comfortable; they stay on one's head well, the ear cushions are comfortable and block outside noise well. In short, I have no complaints about the HD 25 headphones. The sound reproduction is, or should be, the primary consideration when purchasing headphones. These will not disappoint.

I didn't know this even existed until I saw it in a B&H e-mail. It is perfect for holding my heavy Sennheiser HD 800 headphones on top of my stereo components. This stand is light, sturdy, perfectly sized, and even looks good. Highly recommended.

I replaced the cracking headband on my HD 280 Pro headphones with this one from Sennheiser. It's a perfect fit and easy to install (package has instructions).

These replaced my old Sennheiser HD 580, open back headphones. I’m a drummer and I chose them for their natural, even sound throughout the entire range. Very comfortable to wear for hours. Appreciate the 3 cables, wow! Awesome. Carry pouch is nice to have. Very pleased with them. Thank YOU!

Returned the Sennheiser HD 200 Pro Monitoring Headphones in exchange for this Tascam and the build quality is decent for the price. Great dynamic range for this price as well and bigger driver

The HD 800 S is very comfortable and feel exactly the same as the old HD 800. The sound stage and imaging are amazing (like before) and Sennheiser (finally) fixed that high peak and added a little more power to the bass. However, I feel that they are still as picky in terms of amp-pairings. Definitely do your homework on pairings (try them out at a local hi-fi store/audio meet) before dishing out for these. They may sound fine on some amps but are lackluster on others and require more power than most other headphones out there. Accessories are the usual except they now come with the balanced cable -- which used to cost $400 separately. I can't comment on the difference in sound between the unbalanced 1/4 and balanced XLR cables as I haven't spent the time to A/B test them, but it's nice of Sennheiser to include this if you ever need to switch to an amp with only balanced outputs. The included cables are a bit long if you're not in a studio, but if you have the money for this pair of headphones, you can probably afford a custom, shorter cable for portable/at-home use.

Driving three Sennheiser headphones (2x HD 212 Pro and 1x HD 280 Pro) at the same time - from a 302 mixer by SD - never went above a 9 o'clock setting on the output controls. The XLR line inputs are great! The options of 3.5mm or 1/4 input (headphone-wise) makes it very flexible. The battery life is excellent: 4 days in a row of continuous location shooting before having to change them. Can't beat that! ...and there is lots of Ooomph on all outputs

Unlike other ear pads that I was considering for my Sennheiser HD 280 Headphones, these Auray ear pads were fairly easy to install since the material that attaches to the headphone is a little stretchy. The stock ear pads from Sennheiser are probably more difficult to install since they are less stretchy. The leather seems to be of good quality and feels good. The level of sound isolation is at least as good as the original ear pads.
