Sennheiser Hd 518 Audio Over Ear Headphones Review

Unlike other ear pads that I was considering for my Sennheiser HD 280 Headphones, these Auray ear pads were fairly easy to install since the material that attaches to the headphone is a little stretchy. The stock ear pads from Sennheiser are probably more difficult to install since they are less stretchy. The leather seems to be of good quality and feels good. The level of sound isolation is at least as good as the original ear pads. 5 |

I am enjoying my Marshall Over-ear Monitor II A.N.C headphones. Lots O'padding, comfortable when I wear my glasses. The Noise cancelling feature is really awesome. 5 |

Over the ear headphones reduce ambient noise. Sound quality is very good for mono headphones. 5 |

I personally don’t get on with in-ear headphones. Over-ear seem too cumbersome as I use mine mainly on dog walks and need to carry them in my pocket sometimes. The Major IV seem to offer the best of both worlds. They are on-ear, yet deliver a really good sound. The design is simple and different to most other headphones available. The battery life is astonishing. I’ve had mine for two weeks now and still haven’t needed to charge them. Really, really pleased with them. 5 |

Over the years I have gone through many headphones almost all of which broke. The head band broke or one of the ear pieces broke off. These are extremely well made and virtually unbreakable. More importantly, it has superb sound able to pick up from the lowest frequency to the highest! The sound is very rich, full and clear. Love them! 5 |

I recently got my hands on the AKG K371 Over-Ear Oval Closed-Back Studio Headphones and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. The sound quality is outstanding, rivaling my higher-priced Sennheiser headphones. The AKG K371 delivers clear, balanced audio, making it an excellent choice for both casual listening and studio work. The design of the headphones is another highlight. With a sleek and smooth aesthetic, they not only provide comfort for extended listening sessions but also add a touch of style. The build quality feels robust, ensuring these headphones can withstand the rigors of daily use. However, it's worth noting that the AKG K371 headphones do not offer significant sound isolation from external noise. While this may not be a deal-breaker for everyone, it's an important consideration if you're planning to use them in noisy environments. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Skullcandy is generally not a name that I default to when thinking about over-ear headphones, however the Hesh Evo have definitely made a statement with me. I used to use a pair of Sennheiser over-ear headphones for work and now the Hesh Evo's have completely taken over that role. They are nice and light, which help when you're wearing them for hours. Battery life has been excellent. I find that I'm charging them only once a week. The material of the ear cushions don't stick to your face unlike the Sennheisers. No complaints with the audio/mic quality either. They aren't the most premium audio experience, nor are they supposed to be. For the price and the quality, I definitely wouldn't hesitate recommending these to family and friends. 5 |

ATH-X50. This review is for build quality only. I am not qualifified to rate audio. I use these for field recording, and for my requirements, they are excellent. They fold to fit into my audio bag, and the quick detachable signal cord allows easy change to match conditions. I have no suggestions for how they could be improved for field use. If you need full ear cupping, these are not the headphones for you. Small ear cups make the folding design possible, and would limit my use of them for long listening. I have other headphones for that use. Overall the construction appears to substantal, and robust. Qualities needed for field use. My purchase of them came with three cords, and a carry bag. I am really happy with the purchase. 5 |

I currently own several pairs of headphones (2 Sennheiser, 2 AKG, 1 Grado) and that doesn't include in-ear/earbuds. The ATH-M50x's are my favorite! Great sound, comfortable & easy to drive. I like that they come with 3 different cable lengths. They are over ear, meaning a little bigger, but that helps seal out external sounds. Highly recommended! 5 |

I was searching for NC over ear headphones because I work in noisy environment. Was choosing between XM4 and Sennheiser PXC 550 II...Sony sounds better than any other headphones, and they are loud. But Sennheiser felt a bit more comfortable but not loud enough and sound is just not what it should be. I just wish Sony wouldnt make touch control, physical buttons would be much better. 5 |
