Sennheiser Headphones Connected But No Sound

I love my amazing headphones. The sound is very clear and I love that it can be connected by Bluetooth or by the cable. 5 |

I've always gone for inexpensive headphones and was ok with that, until I tried on the Sennheiser HD280 & realized I deserved a great pair of headphones that had great sound and kept out all the room noise around me. ... Been using them mostly on my computer to edit video with, and a couple times for recording interviews... ... They're very comfortable, sound is great.. but have to remember to take them off occassionaly to let my ears breath... Did you know ears can sweat ? 5 |

I'm a very happy customer. The headphones are great.....deep,rich sound. Connected to my iMac...the sound is so good. I got at least 4pairs but those are the best 5 |

I was looking to upgrade to Sennheiser's as I have needed a quality pair of headphones for awhile. I use them primarily in my video work. Monitoring sound during an interview, or whatever I happen to be shooting. During the editing process, especially when my roommate is working on his own stuff. The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones are great. They are very comfortable, and the sound quality is topnotch, as with all Sennheiser products. 5 |

We have been using several pairs of Sennheiser HD650 headphonesas our very best monitoring reference in remote recording sessionswith the famous, restored Wanamaker pipe organ in the Grand Court of the the downtown .../Wanamaker store in Philadelphia. The headphones are driven by nothing less than Grace Design 902 headphone amps. These headphones absolutely rival the sound quality from the very best, customized, fixed-place studio monitor speaker systems at a mere fraction of the cost. They render a brilliant, clean sound that reaches way down to the 16 Hz fundamentals (at zero recording level!) that this huge organ so easily belts out at full tilt. Mids and highs with the HD650's are as smooth as silk too.The current project is Christmas music featuring the Wanamaker organ accompanied by the Philadelphia Brass. Brass pickup was by anotherfantastic Sennheiser product, a matched pair of the new Sennheiser MKH-8040 cardioid microphones. You may hear the results this Fall when the Wanamaker Christmas CDcomes out on the Gothic Label. The disc may be available in Macy's stores nationally. Tune in, because every single note on this upcoming album was meticulously monitored by HD650 headphones!Alex Martin, Assistant Recording Engineerdsp Recording/ Chicago 5 |

For decades I have heard of Sennheiser headphones from my audiophiles friends, so when I wanted to upgrade my headphones that I was using to monitor the audio feed for an on line church service, I researched this model. The specs were close to what I was currently using, but better. The first time that I used them, I was not disappointed with the audio quality, though because I wear eye glasses, I do not enjoy the total sound isolation that the ear cups provide, but they produce a great sound and are not uncomfortable to wear for an hour plus. The value package that B&H offers with it just adds to it. It definitely produces wonderful audio at a reasonable price. I was able to hear issues that I was missing with my other set and correct the mix for a better feed. 5 |

The HD 800 S is very comfortable and feel exactly the same as the old HD 800. The sound stage and imaging are amazing (like before) and Sennheiser (finally) fixed that high peak and added a little more power to the bass. However, I feel that they are still as picky in terms of amp-pairings. Definitely do your homework on pairings (try them out at a local hi-fi store/audio meet) before dishing out for these. They may sound fine on some amps but are lackluster on others and require more power than most other headphones out there. Accessories are the usual except they now come with the balanced cable -- which used to cost $400 separately. I can't comment on the difference in sound between the unbalanced 1/4 and balanced XLR cables as I haven't spent the time to A/B test them, but it's nice of Sennheiser to include this if you ever need to switch to an amp with only balanced outputs. The included cables are a bit long if you're not in a studio, but if you have the money for this pair of headphones, you can probably afford a custom, shorter cable for portable/at-home use. 5 |

I recently purchased Sennheiser HD650 headphones from B&H, and I couldn't be happier with the product and the service. The HD650 sound quality is stellar, with a balanced and natural sound signature that makes listening to my music much more enjoyable than with my old Beyer Dynamics. The bass is deep and well-controlled, the mids are lush and detailed, and the highs non-fatiguing. I appreciate the open-back design's expansive soundstage in orchestral recordings, making you feel like you're in the middle of a live performance. As to comfort, the HD650s are legendary, and these live up to the reputation; they're lightweight, and the velour ear pads soft, allowing for extended listening sessions without any discomfort. My only criticism is that the build quality is less robust than I was expecting in this price range. B&H Photo made the purchasing experience seamless and enjoyable. Their website was easy to navigate, the ordering process was straightforward, and the shipping prompt. The price was outstanding, too. I recommend the Sennheiser HD650 headphones for their superb audio performance and B&H Photo for their excellent service. 5 |

The sound quality is excellent and the headphones are worth the price. I'd give the Sennheiser RS 175's 10 stars if the headphone cushions breathed a little better. The rubberized cushion covers get a little hot after an hour or so. My old 135's came with a felt or velour cover that stayed a cooler longer. 5 |

I generally really like Sennheiser headphones sound so I am very satisfied with the sound. I use them a lot on the subway and they are loud and I barely here the outside noise. They are very well isolated. I was a bit concerned that they would have felt a bit too small on the ear but it's not the case. They feel very comfortable. 5 |
