Sennheiser Headphones Hd650

We have been using several pairs of Sennheiser HD650 headphonesas our very best monitoring reference in remote recording sessionswith the famous, restored Wanamaker pipe organ in the Grand Court of the the downtown .../Wanamaker store in Philadelphia. The headphones are driven by nothing less than Grace Design 902 headphone amps. These headphones absolutely rival the sound quality from the very best, customized, fixed-place studio monitor speaker systems at a mere fraction of the cost. They render a brilliant, clean sound that reaches way down to the 16 Hz fundamentals (at zero recording level!) that this huge organ so easily belts out at full tilt. Mids and highs with the HD650's are as smooth as silk too.The current project is Christmas music featuring the Wanamaker organ accompanied by the Philadelphia Brass. Brass pickup was by anotherfantastic Sennheiser product, a matched pair of the new Sennheiser MKH-8040 cardioid microphones. You may hear the results this Fall when the Wanamaker Christmas CDcomes out on the Gothic Label. The disc may be available in Macy's stores nationally. Tune in, because every single note on this upcoming album was meticulously monitored by HD650 headphones!Alex Martin, Assistant Recording Engineerdsp Recording/ Chicago 5 |

I recently purchased Sennheiser HD650 headphones from B&H, and I couldn't be happier with the product and the service. The HD650 sound quality is stellar, with a balanced and natural sound signature that makes listening to my music much more enjoyable than with my old Beyer Dynamics. The bass is deep and well-controlled, the mids are lush and detailed, and the highs non-fatiguing. I appreciate the open-back design's expansive soundstage in orchestral recordings, making you feel like you're in the middle of a live performance. As to comfort, the HD650s are legendary, and these live up to the reputation; they're lightweight, and the velour ear pads soft, allowing for extended listening sessions without any discomfort. My only criticism is that the build quality is less robust than I was expecting in this price range. B&H Photo made the purchasing experience seamless and enjoyable. Their website was easy to navigate, the ordering process was straightforward, and the shipping prompt. The price was outstanding, too. I recommend the Sennheiser HD650 headphones for their superb audio performance and B&H Photo for their excellent service. 5 |

I have had these headphones for about a month now and I can't believe how great they sound! They far exceed my Sennheiser HD650's in every way! They are soo clear and full sounding, they play very loud also if you like. 5 |

My reference for years has been the Sennheiser HD650, and I've been an open-back guy ever since I first heard them. But the AA Hi-X55 is better in nearly every way, especially in comfort and detail. It may lack just a bit of that airiness that is the signature of open-back 'phones, but in staging and definition it's a significant step up. I can't speak to durability--only a week in--but so far I am thrilled. Highly recommended. 5 |

I have now tried 4 different headphones: Sony MDR-7506, Beyer DT990, Sennheiser HD650, Shure SRH1840. My intent was to find headphones that I could mix with, sounded suitably neutral, and have a similar response to my Yamaha HS7s, and to my HiFi which I use as an audio reference (Naim 42/110, into Rogers Studio One speakers..) Here are my conclusions/comments 1. Sony 7506: great for tracking; decent response, good isolation(I have two pairs of these..) 2. Beyer DT990: too much bass plus a sibilant top end, and 'scooped' mids. I did not like the sound of these. Returned. 3. Senn HD650: better than the Beyers but still an over-emphasized bottom end. Nice for general listening through a good headphone amp, but not good for mixing. Returned. 4. Shure SRH1840: best of the bunch, and sound very similar to the HS7s in my home studio. Bass is tight and responsive, and seems faithful to the intent of the recording. Also sound pretty close to my 'reference' hi-fi system. These are keepers. I wish that they were made in the USA.. ! 5 |

The best sounding headphones I've ever owned. I would also recommend buying the replacement Cable for HD650 that make the HD600 sound better. 5 |

These headphones were an upgrade from my HD650 headphones and I can safely say the upgrade was worth it. If you are looking for the best premium HIFI headphones on the market for less than $2000, these are it. 5 |

As an audiophile and an owner of some of the best headphones from Sennheiser and others, I must say that the AirPods Max Headphones are excellent - - in fact they are terrific. The sound quality is superb and the headphones are extremely comfortable. This product gets my highest rating of 5/5. 5 |

This would be the Illmatic of Headphones for DJs. Sennheiser kept If it ain't broke, don't try fix it. Many user replaceable parts. Light weights construction for hours of use without fatigue. I believe 2024 marks the 35 years anniversary of this headphones. As glasses wearer, on-ear nature of this headphones works wonder. Since nothing existed in this world is perfect, here are few cons; little thin and easy to get tangled straight cable, coiled cable is also nice to have but little to heavy and long for my taste. Although included Pleather pads are comfy, and gets worn out rather quick. Invest in velour pads like ones from DT770. 5 |
