Sennheiser Me 2

I use it for the Sennheiser ME 64 and it cuts wind dramatically.

I searched and narrowed down to the Rode NTG series (1,2,3) and the ME-66. My buddy said Sennheiser released this mic @ IBC 2012. Now, since it just came out at the time, I took a leap of faith from the word of mouth reviews like how warm it sounded compared to the ME-66 and bought it, not knowing what it would sound like. I'm glad to say this mic is amazing! The mic exceeded my expectations. Here are the benefits I found:- I can use this on a boompole and grab dedicated sound or it can be mounted onto a DSLR, which my team uses alot.- The price is really affordable considering it's a Sennheiser. The school provided ME-66 and were okay. I definitely can't afford a MKH-416 yet but working towards it. For now, the MKE 600 is a solid work horse shotgun mic for anything I need.- Battery power is a nice option to have.I use this mic with a Rycote Windshield #4, a Rode boompole (10ft), and record into a Roland R-44. I honestly think this is a worthwhile mic to get if you are starting out or looking for a solid shotgun mic. The mic is hotter than say the Rode NTG-2. The build is solid and I am very happy with it. Best investment I've made!

I have a Sennheiser ME-66 which is childs play compared to the Rode NTG-3 . The NTG-3 minimizes HVAC and room noise and sound incredible. It is as good as a lav if not better. Very rich sound. I would highly recommend this mic.

Using my Sennheiser ME 2-II lav, the audio is absolutely stellar. Almost no noise. It's a great pleasure to edit with audio of this quality. I hope the Sync E MkIIs ship soon!

I bought this item for use with a Sennheiser ME-66 short Mic, and a Sony PCM-D50, so I am not a professional by any stretch of the imagination, however I am into field recording and I do care about the quality of sound I can get within the constraints of my small budget. For me this has been a process of elimination, buying gear and realizing that its not going to make the grade and selling it or exchanging it along the way. This cable was one of those purchases as I needed a simple cable to go from the Mic to the recorder or an XLR to mini-jack, and and BH search came up with a few products and this was for about twenty bucks. It does exactly what I was looking for, and more then I was expecting as I had initially purchased it with an eye to finding out more about what it was I needed to get a mono mic to relay through both headphone channels for monitoring purposes, anyway this thing does that, and it cost me a whopping break-the-bank ...

This is a great length for connecting the Sennheiser ME 66/K6 to the SONY FS7. The connectors are snug and feel like they'll last. And for under $bucks... why not get a quality cable?!

I own bunch of these mics. They are affordable and work just as good as the original Sennheiser ME 2 for my lave mics.

I've used the Sennheiser ME 2 mic before, and am now using this one. The sound quality is great for the price, but the real value comes in how low profile it is. It's also awesome that the mic comes with the full kit of a case, 2 clips, vampire clips, and a wind screen. I'm picking up a second one this week!

I'm a filmmaker that uses this mount in conjunction with the Sennheiser ME series microphones. It works beautifully, there is no noise created by the mount and it holds the mic securely so that I don't have to worry on set about my expensive microphones crashing to the floor. I love the knob compared to other models with a plastic handle that turns - feels much more sturdy. This thing is robust and does the job as it's intended. If you've already got an expensive microphone, protect it with this pistol grip.

Not as good as a dead cat but definitely helps cut out wind and handling noise on my Sennheiser ME-66.
