Sennheiser Rs 180 Headphone Manual

I sat on my RS 160 so it was time to replace my Headphone. The RS 175 is a great improvement over the 160. More controls and it fits over my ears completely so all the sound is captured.

I bought this RS 175 Digital Wireless Headphone System in Sept 2016. All I can say is that this system is really great. Sound quality is just fantastic!!!

A significant improvement over earlier versions of Sennheiser wireless headsets. The RS 175 system sound is noticeably cleaner. Also appreciate the option to employ surround sound and bass boost.

This is our second set of Sennheiser RS 175 headphones. It's helped my husband a lot. Makes everything clear for him without turning the volume of the TV up.

The sound quality is excellent and the headphones are worth the price. I'd give the Sennheiser RS 175's 10 stars if the headphone cushions breathed a little better. The rubberized cushion covers get a little hot after an hour or so. My old 135's came with a felt or velour cover that stayed a cooler longer.

For years I had been using the older Sennheiser RS 120 wireless headset which operated in the 926-928 MHz frequency range. The performance was adequate, but the unit suffered from multipath cancellation (signal reduction due to the out of phase combination of multiple reflections). You will notice this when you move your head slightly, and there would be a sudden, and audible, change in signal amplitude or a short burst of background noise. As I had need for an addition system, I decided on the RS 175 as it seemed to have good reviews. I have not been disappointed. The RS 175 operates in the 2.4 GHz band with digital modulation. While 2.4 GHz systems are also subject to multipath propagation deterioration, I noticed none with this system, even with the headset taken outside onto the patio with the transmitter 40+ feet away. As typical with digital modulation systems, there was a threshold effect -- if the headset got out of range, the signal would abruptly disappear, quieting the audio -- in the past, you would simply be greeted with noise. In addition, I very much like the Bass Boost and Surround Sound options which can be quickly selected at the press of a button on the headset. The one negative for the headset is that you need to really take the headset off in order to figure out which button to press. I find this a rather minor inconvenience as I am not changing audio level, bass boost or surround sound options on the fly. In summary, Sennheiser did a superb job with this unit. The audio quality is excellent (I used an analog input -- an optical interface also exists for even better quality) and the annoying multipath effects so common with many wireless headsets are non-existent.

Let's face it; built in television speakers have never been hi fidelity. To make matters worse, flat screen tv speakers are tiny and point downward, not toward the viewer. Throw in room acoustics and outside noise and folks that are hard of hearing don't have a very rewarding tv viewing experience. I previously had a competing brand of headphones which seemed to muffle human voices. They really didn't help much. I needed something better. The Sennheiser RS 175 headphones had very good reviews that prompted me to get a pair. Wow! What a difference! Now I can watch NASCAR races or football games and hear the announcers over the racecars or the crowd. I can hear every word spoken on my favorite tv programs. Something else that was so exasperating was trying to hear what was being said in video clips with music playing in the background. Not a problem anymore. The Sennheiser RS 175 headphones are very comfortable and block outside noise very well. I can wear them all evening with zero discomfort. I haven't even had to adjust the controls other than volume and they sound wonderful. I haven't used them yet to play a music CD or a Blue Ray movie, but they appear to have good dynamic range. I couldn't be happier with these headphones. The only problem now is that my wife gets annoyed because she can't talk to me when I'm wearing them. Oh well.

This is the lens on my Zf most of the time (180-600 is a close second). While I love the look of it on my Zf (it's as if they were made for each other, aesthetically AND because of the manual focus capabilities of the Zf), aesthetics are not important to me. Performance is what it's all about. I really love the compact size, and the image quality is outstanding. The manual focus ring is very smooth, as is the aperture ring. I do often forget that the aperture needs to be adjusted via the ring on the lens, since all of my other lens require adjustment via the camera. If it were weather sealed, it would be perfect.

My ELPH 180 is exactly what I expected. It has so many features which will make my using it more enjoyable. I am still going over the extensive manual and have taken several pics with it. I plan to carry it with me everywhere I go.

It is a great headphone case. B&H displays it at the bottom of the Sennheiser HD 800 listing, which at least suggests the HD 800 would fit in it. It is not even close. The HD 800 heaphones do not fit in this case.
