Sennheiser Urbanite Xl Headphones Review

As an audiophile and an owner of some of the best headphones from Sennheiser and others, I must say that the AirPods Max Headphones are excellent - - in fact they are terrific. The sound quality is superb and the headphones are extremely comfortable. This product gets my highest rating of 5/5.

This would be the Illmatic of Headphones for DJs. Sennheiser kept If it ain't broke, don't try fix it. Many user replaceable parts. Light weights construction for hours of use without fatigue. I believe 2024 marks the 35 years anniversary of this headphones. As glasses wearer, on-ear nature of this headphones works wonder. Since nothing existed in this world is perfect, here are few cons; little thin and easy to get tangled straight cable, coiled cable is also nice to have but little to heavy and long for my taste. Although included Pleather pads are comfy, and gets worn out rather quick. Invest in velour pads like ones from DT770.

I wear my headphones for the majority of my work day. Although the cushions that come with the V-MODA Crossfade M-100 headphones are fairly comfortable, they do get a bit uncomfortable when wearing the headphones for such an long time. I decided to purchase the XL Memory cushions as I had read other reviews indicating they made a difference in comfort. I don't have large ears so sizing was not an issue as some people have mentioned. The difference comes with the fact that the XL cushions are significantly thicker than the original pads. They don't feel as though they are squishing my head at all. I don't think these pads are outrageously priced and are most certainly worth the money if you plan to wear these headphones for any length of time. The comfort is outstanding.

As a college student and professional DJ and producer, I wear headphones all day. I typically DJ with the Crossfade M-100 headphones and use them as my mobile headphones. However, I wear glasses. This is a killer for me on most headphones, making them uncomfortable or less isolation. The cushions that come with the V-MODA Crossfade M-100 headphones are comfortable but lack significant padding like competitors. I preferred the clarity of the M-100 headphones to the Beats Pro headphones but the comfort was not there. I decided to purchase the XL Memory cushions after having talked with a representative from V-MODA. The representative said this would solve my problem with discomfort and lack of isolation significantly. The XL cushions, when applied, are significantly thicker than the original ear pads. They provide a firm fit around your head. I think the XL pads are well worth it especially for those who love the M-100 or LP2 headphones.

I've always gone for inexpensive headphones and  was ok with that, until I tried on the Sennheiser HD280 & realized I deserved a great pair of headphones that had great sound and kept out all the room noise around me. ... Been using them mostly on my computer to edit video with, and a couple times for recording interviews... ... They're very comfortable, sound is great.. but have to remember to take them off occassionaly to let my ears breath...   Did you know ears can sweat ?

Not surprisingly, Sennheiser has made a great pair of headphones. I use them for monitoring when recording and mixing, and for general use when listening to music. I love the sound quality and the flat frequency response. They're pretty darn big, which could be good or bad depending on your wants/needs. I don't mind it, and they fold up pretty compactly. Overall a great pair of phones.

I've had these wonderful Sennheiser headphones longer than I can remember. Instead of having to toss them when the cable wore out, I got this replacement cable. I took a pair of pliers, carefully unplugged the old cable, and easily inserted the new connections. I had all that great sound back in a few minutes. It's a pity we have to throw things away when small bits of them wear out. Good that the Sennheiser folks design this kind of thing in their products.
