I love the Ecobee, and definitely recommend it. It's way more accurate than my old Honeywell. The external sensors help keep the temperature even through out the main floor. It wasn't exactly plug and play for me as my boiler/radiant floor heating system didn't have a C-wire to tap into. I Googled myself and used their tech support for installation advice. After figuring out the wiring challenges with a work around done (took me 2hrs) to have my Ecobee up and running. So it could be an easy to advanced difficulty DIY project depending on your heating/cooling system.

I use this for a DIY alarm system in my house. I have 3 sensors connected to one base unit. The base unit is connected to a power source and an external 30w siren. The sensors detect motion...siren sounds. I turn power on and off via smart plug on my phone. Works like a charm. My only concern would be for the durability of the sensors. As can be imagined sensors are usually placed in high traffic areas which means activity happens all day long. If this will affect longevity of the product I do not know, only time will tell.

I have installed two of these sensors on entry doors. Installation was simple and system setup was easy. They work great. One is located in a outbuilding which does not have heat and continued to perform well near zero degrees F.

Those and the Duracell batteries are the only one you can use in sensitive wireless alarm system sensors. Worth paying extra rather than dealing with false alarms.

I've added the door and windows sensors to my system. I love the automatic notifications and the auto shutting off my SC when the doors or windows are open. Works perfectly! I think I want more door sensors now :-)

I used this lens for photographing the Milky Way on a Sony a6000. Stopped down to f/2.0 this lens has minute coma and excellent quality. The output is very clear and I have been able to get my most detailed photos of the stars with this lens. This lens is compatible with both APS-C and full size sensors on the Sony E-Mount system which is great for future upgrades. For a small mirrorless camera this lens can be quite large and a little heavy. A strong tripod with a good mounting system is required to keep the camera from tipping forward. The medium format (for APS-C sensors) makes this lens great for night panoramas and photo stitching. Overall this is a great lens that I will be using for a long time.
