Sentry 500 Studio Monitor Price

It works for use in my 2022 Tesla Sentry app!

I use this monitor to reference live feed from the video switcher in my school news studio.  The monitor is bright, crisp, and has onboard tools that are very helpful.  The histogram allows me to dial in iris settings for each camera on the fly.  The metal exterior is pretty darn nice for a sub $500 monitor.  Lilliput provides nice added goodies such as a camera adapter, and sunshade.  The monitor is boxed very nicely.... reminiscent of unboxing an Apple product.  While some may complain that it is only 500 brightness, this is more that sufficient for studio use.  I am buying more shortly to provide studio staff additional live views.

The pair of studio monitor stands are quite sturdy and the price was well positioned. A very good value. I like the variation in height capability.

For the price, this is a fantastic device. I can't hear any noise through my studio monitor headphones until i ramp up the gain so high it would distort anyway if I tried to play anything through it. So, essentially a great buy. It interfaces well with my 2007 Macbook Pro with MAC OSX 10.6. Instrument plugins in the same position as the xlr inputs make it compact.

I bought this for my RED V-Raptor. Why didn't I just get the RED monitor? They are basically the same price! Let me explain... The RED monitor is fantastic. One cable, attaches directly to the camera, user buttons, well built, and only slightly more expensive. BUT... I can only use the RED monitor version of the Cine 7 on a RED camera. And if you think I am going to spend 3K on a monitor that I can only use on one camera, you have another thing coming. With this monitor, yes, I need two cables instead of one. That is where the shortcomings stop. The Cine 7: 1. Can use on any camera. Any camera! 2. Still have complete camera control. 3. 500 more nits of brightness. Yes, 500! And it does make a difference. 4. A little bit cheaper. 5. Want Arri camera control? Yep, for $500 you have Arri camera control too. 6. With the RED monitor on an Arri camera you would have a paperweight. You get a better monitor that you can use on any camera. I attach the monitor directly to the RED top handle using the SmallRig Swivel and Tilt Monitor Mount with ARRI-Style Accessory Mount. Perfect.

the Studio Monitor Headphones are very well made and have excellent sound quality.

This is my first zoom for GFX. It is a short zoom and I've heard it was not so great. With $500 rebate promotion so I got it for the studio. It is actually sharp and great control with flare and ghost. Very good lens indeed.
