Amazing little vacuum/blower!

well balance for short periid handheld, Excellent optical & VR performance, auto focusing speed is fast but not lightning fast as some reviewers say, dometimes it hunts even with a D4S body and without extender attached. But generally very fast and precise.

makes dust and debris disappear. Can't vacuum.

This is my first L series, so maybe it's just the difference from what I'm use to, but wow. The IS allows shooting handheld things that I would never have dreamed of with other lenses (including some with IS). The 2.8 creats a really shallow depth of field like you would expect. The rounded edges of the shutter create an even blur that's very appealing. Maybe it's better said to say even less distracting.

Got this to use with Benro X-series Handheld Gimbal as some phones do not have the 3.5mm headphone inlet and qi-charging ... used this and like it better than using cables.

Works as expected, handheld mic fits a little tight with a windscreen on it. Highly recommended because the AVX series are not built as well as the old G3 series, must be careful with these.

This is the all around lens everyone needs in their kit. Do not get canon's auto lens unless you're going with the L series, which costs substantially more. The Zeiss reproduces color remarkably, focuses sharp, and operates smooth as silk! Everything about this lens' construction is top notch. With video work in mind, and the lack of auto focus a given, this manual lens is hands down the winner in my book.

I was a bit dismayed that my older D series lens didn't have auto focus capability with my new mirrorless camera, so took the plunge. Although often called a 'kit lens', I don't see it that way. Even then, I'm blown away by the sharpness I get from it. The only drawback is that this lens doesn't have macro capability, but I purchased an extension tube to see how that will work out.
