This cap now comes stock with D700 body, but my other D700 came with a different cap. This one fits pretty snug and has a nicer form factor than previous Nikon DSLR body caps.

This is an item you buy for the cool factor. The stock cap that comes with the camera is sufficient but why stick with sufficient when you can have this rugged, good looking cap protecting your sensor? First off, top notch service from B&H!! I had issues paying with my Payboo account but all I had to do was call and a B&H manager took care of everything! I carry a D500 and 200-500 and my back has been bothering me. The Cotton Carrier distributes the weight great and I can walk for miles with no problems. Additionally It allows me to be hands free which helps in all kinds of ways. Make sure to use the safety strap that attaches to your camera. The first time using it I didn’t have the camera securely in the CC and my camera fell but thanks to the safety strap no harm!! Wish I bought this years ago!!

Bought this for extra safety going offshore fishing with no cell service. Every thought I have an EPIRB it is nice to have extra security and the fact that it has extra SOS that has text communication so you can communicate with a person and send GPS location. Also has ability to check it with wife to let her know if plans change or just heading home. Very glad I bought it

I purchased this strap for my Canon 5DMKIII. I love the addition of the safety cable and the ease of use. I lost the screw  adapter to the bottom of the camera and after contacting HiiGuy service they are sending a new one to me. I think their service is excellent and am please with all aspects of the product.
