One of the best (some would say the best...) microphone in the business, particularly for vocals and lower sound level instruments (acoustic guitar, flute, etc...). Extremely sensitive, very low noise. Picks up the tiniest detail. The switchable polar pattern, integrated low cut filter and 10 dB attenuation pad means you can use them for anything in any situation, couple of switches and you are done. Just did a simultaneous recording with my Schoeps on a flute and these sounded even better, if that was at all possible. More velvet and refinment in the mid tones. You could immediately tell why they are unsurpassed on voice. If you can afford it and don't mind how large they are, this is the quintessential studio mic you need in your arsenal. 5 |

I have had my MK 3 a few weeks now and i can tell that is the best camera I ever use....I used to have MK II and IQ is far better and the Lens Adjusting is awesome...I dont have backfocusing anymore, and I used to have with my MK 2 with all my lenses....For weddings ISO 1600 is useful as 400 is in my XTi, and the focus accuracy at night is far better than MK2...About the ai servo issues i have to say that MK2 is a better camera in this case, but just if you shoot in Sunlight...but in stadiums and in low light....MK3 ROCKS A LOT! Expertise: 4 years in wedding and sports! Problems Encountered: Ai-servo is a little slow in day light! Previous Equivalent Item Owned: EOS 1D Mark II Items I Recommend: 85mm 1.2L, 70-200mm 2.8 IS L 5 |

I’ve been wanting a way to attach a condenser microphone to my flute for years, and this little device fits the bill perfectly. Perfect for nominally acoustic settings where the sax and clarinet are present enough without amplification, but the flute requires just a bit to be heard above the rhythm section, if you already own a small condenser mike as I did, this is ideal. I have used several different mics to mic a flute in a loud band and the leakage from the drums usually competes with the flute. With the i2, that is over for me. Our flute player was a few feet from the drum kit and was barely picking up drums. The caridod is the way to go. The tonal quality is outstanding. It comes with a cork lined clip but it still picks up the valve noise in between songs if your musician is fiddling with them. It is very noticeable. While playing, I had no problem getting plenty of gain out of the flute. Used with ULXD1 beltpack. I am very happy with this mic. 5 |

I bought this product to use mostly for praise and worship at church. It's so hard to Mic the entire range of the flute with a standard microphone. This goes on easily, and has not scratched my flute whatsoever. I am currently using an audio technica microphone, and it fits in this piece even though it's made for another brand. It has made a huge difference, and our sound guy, who also happens to be my husband, has been able to turn me down overall and capture the full range of the flute. 5 |

I have used this microphone to mic my flutes in live performances for the last 15 years. I usually switch between several flutes when performing live and this mic makes it possible to quickly go from an alto flute to a bamboo flute or piccolo. Being able to move the mic closer to my mouth is great for instruments that are soft. The sound is very balanced and I get a consistency in levels that makes it possible to hear myself even when I play bass flute. The output level is very hot so I can keep my preamp gain low. I also use this mic when recording with effect pedals. 5 |

The previous version of this clip was very flimsy and difficult to fasten to the flute. The new version is sturdier, fits easily, and provides a sturdy connection to the flute head joint. 5 |

Bought this to transport music gear for our guitar-flute duo. Used it once for a gig and worked great. Assembly of the wheels took a few minutes, otherwise, comes ready to roll. It would come in handy for location shoots too. I'm sure they large front wheels will pay dividends over models with smaller ones. B&H price was significantly lower than others at the time I bought it. 5 |
