Sesame Street Real Digital Camera

The Black and White Mode is the first real film look i have found in any professional digital camera paired with the metal body, size and overall rangefinder design with the addition of the mode dial have all restored the digital camera back into the long historical evolution of the street photographer's camera.

This is my granddaughter's first 'real' camera. I bought it for her because she went on a trip to Alaska and since she is not familiar with digital cameras, this one with serve the purpose for her.

Used it a National Night out to show a Sesame Stree preparedness video to the kids o a 43 TV and they were glued to their seats.

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

I have had this lens for a year now and use it for 75% of my street and urban landscape photography on my A7RIVa. It's my go to. If you are looking for an optically superb wide angle and a fixed focal length manual lens is in your wheelhouse this is it. It gives me performance that matches the 61 megapixel resolution on my camera. I love the sharpness, the color rendition and the contrast. And I get plenty of latitude to tease out detail in Lightroom. The 1/3 stop intervals on aperture are useful. It even has a real depth of field scale. It is true that these Loxia lenses are a bit tight and take effort to mount and remove. And the lens shade is tricky to click on securely. But you get used to these things. The real story here, however, is the optical performance, which is top shelf.

Can't say enough about the resolution. It can read a street sign 1/2 a block away. The digital zoom maintains a good focus for magnification. This camera gives you full color both day and night, especially in lowlight situations. The LED assist can be disabled or dimmed for special situations and can be automated for turning on at dusk and off at dauwn or set to a particular 24/7 time. Paired with the NVR there are many different alarm zone/conditions.

Going to use the camera for street photography and on vacations.
