Set Pc To Start Scanning

There are so many great features of this product that set it apart from its competition. The set up is so easy, you will be scanning in minutes!

Let me start of by saying that this scanner is amazing, it worked beyond my expectations. I am a known receipt and just over all “important” paper hog. So the convenience of scanning everything was great. I had a bulkier scanner which I would have to haul with me wherever I was going to need it. It was dreadful. But this Epson scanner is lightweight and the portability is just great. It is so easy to take with me, I already bought a special bag for it to take it in. I just love the small sleek design. I did have some trouble getting it all set up, but that was just my doing. I was trying on my iPhone, but I could not for the life of me figure it out. I then tried with my husbands Samsung phone, and easy peasy. So it was definitely not problems with the scanner, it was me. Once I got it all set up, I started scanning everything in my big olé pile. It is surprisingly fast and easy to use once you get the hang of it. Over all it is a great scanner, definitely recommended it. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ES-300WR Wireless Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

So let’s start with setup. Setup was a breeze. All I had to do was go to a website and download the software which took under five minutes. No complex setup instructions, and super easy to connect to phone through WiFi. The scanning is by far the fastest I’ve seen. It literally took a second to scan and pop up on my computer screen. The clarity and picture in the documents were great. I’m impressed with the two sided scanning function and how quickly documents are scanned. When you take it out of the box, you’ll notice that it’s well packaged. Not excessively, but enough to protect the scanner being shipped to your door. The scanner itself is quite sturdy and well constructed. It is a heavy-duty plastic and has a nice texture and appearance. The paper folds out to catch large documents as they scan, and compactly slides back inside the scanner itself to save space. It works with both Windows 7-10 PCs and Mac OS systems. It was very easy to set up, install, and begin using the scanner within just a few minutes. The specs of this scanner are phenomenal for the price-point, and the performance is phenomenal. To start off, it does 65ppm/130ipm (duplex) in color/b&w/grayscale. With a 100-page feeder that has nice, smooth sliding size adjustments it makes scanning large batches a snap. It also includes a double-feed detection to make sure that you don’t miss scanning any pages that are discretely stuck together. You can scan documents as small as 2”x2” and as large as 8.5”x240” using the long document mode, so it should be able to handle almost any scan job you can throw at it. It also has a small, color, LCD display that allows you to scan, change settings, perform maintenance, and view information. This is a somewhat useful feature so you don’t have to mess around in the scanner software to find any of these operations. The Epson ScanSmart software is a very user-friendly interface and allows for basic scanning functions and save/send the documents to various services/locations. You can either initiate a scan from the software, or just load your stack of documents and hit the blue scan button on the scanner and (when connected to your computer) it will automatically load the software and start scanning the document. I just got this to start scanning my 35mm negatives. Just learning how to use it, but the results I have been getting are positive. Easy to use and the software worked great on Windows 7.

Amazingly easy to use. At first i wondered why the instructions were so brief, but once you start to use it you see it is very straightforward. Great that you can choose to make a pdf from the start of a scanning process. Fast scans. Good slide scanning results. Have not yet tried the software for eliminating dust from old slides.

Bought this to start a business for scanning and this has been so much fun learning the software and scanning my own. Well work the purchase.

I am not a professional photographer or even an avid photo hobbyist; however, I have taken a lot of photos. At the urging of my wife and daughter, they suggested I start scanning some the photos/negative that have been taken over the past 40 years. My daughter purchased for me an Epson V350 scanner as a Christmas present a few years ago to motivate me to start the scanning project; however, I soon became frustrated using the V350 and software. The results using the V350 were less than ideal, and the software was not up to the task. I quit the project. After a couple of years passed, I decided to look into starting up the scanning project again, and I purchased the V850 with SilverFast SE Plus 8 software. I downloaded the user’s manual for the V850 and got started. The V850 is fool proof – very easy to set up and use! However, it takes some practice and a little time to get use to the SilverFast software, but it was easy enough. I am extremely pleased with the results. I have attached a sample of a scanned negatives. The negatives were in fair condition, but the software brought back the original color and eliminated some of the imperfections!

This device was extremely easy to set up and start using.
