Set Up Wifi Without Ethernet Cable

We use these for our timeclocks that are not wifi but have an ethernet cable connection. Works well.

It provides very fast wifi and cable connections. I signed up for gigabit ethernet from my provider and my ethernet speed test was approximately 930 mb/s download. Wifi speed test was approximately 700 mb/s without being right next to the router. The user interface for the cell phone app is extremely easy to use. Very happy with my purchase, and the customer service from B&H.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Connectivity is great! The 3.1 modem is on point with delivering over the 1000/35 I'm subscribed to when using an Ethernet cable every single time. Wifi is good too. The 2.4 signal covers my 1800 square foot home perfectly, even without the satellite. Adding the satellite, I can use my own wifi at my mother-in-law's house next door (believe it or not, I love her being my neighbor lol). The 5 signal doesn't reach quite as far, but it still covers the house well, and on it, I hit about 800/30 in almost all areas of my house including the back yard! Pro's that have specific VPN and/or other advanced needs, this combo will do most, but definitely do your research prior to purchase if you fall into this category! The Orbi App is SOLID. Again, nothing too advanced, but absolutely meets every expectation I'd have of any other brand's app and then some. I'd almost forgotten to mention setup; it's so easy. I connected the power and coaxial cable (not provided), connected via an Ethernet cable, Spectrum automatically detected the modem and asked me to sign into my online account (Spectrum's activation took about 10 minutes), scanned the QR code on the front of the modem using my phone's camera, setup a password, changed the wifi name and password to something I like, and that was that. It took a total of 13 minutes (including Spectrum's 10) to do it all start to finish. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and experience. I'd recommend this product to anyone looking for fast, consistent, and easy internet and wifi!

I have this wifi access point mounted on a high wall in the central part of the house; it easily provides coverage to all rooms (4000' feet home). You need to have access to an ethernet cable and you must be able to provide power over ethernet or be able to use the included power injector somewhere along the cable run. It works very well and is fairly easy to set up, but it's not a home handyman type of thing.

I purchased this to increase the WiFi coverage in my house. I was considering purchasing 2, but started with 1 just to see the coverage. Overall, I get about 25% better signal at each end of the house with this set up in the center so an improvement over the WiFi router my ISP provides. I have basic networking experience and the software was a breeze to setup. I really think anyone could do it, but give yourself a good 15 mins to click around and understand their web interface. I simply plugged an ethernet cable into my existing WiFi router, then into the PoE adapter that came with the AP. Then just ran a second ethernet cable from the PoE adapter to the AP. Mounted it on a wall with their hardware and was done, took less than 5 min total.

Nice equipment working great for internet service through both wifi and ethernet cable. Its slim design takes small space but covers the whole house both upstairs and downstairs (over 2000 sqf). The app allows to set up the network including a separate guest network and password easily.

You have to know what you're buying with this camera -- sure, it's the only Netflix-approved micro 4/3 camera and the same awesome video quality as GH5s in a body that is streamlined for video – but you have to know going in that you will need some kind of monitor attached to set or view anything. The Ethernet, Wifi, and Bluetooth are incredibly versatile, but it does take some getting used to that you can't touch a touchscreen to set the focus area, for example. How versatile? As soon as I connected it by Wifi, my whole home network was able to see and control it. I didn't try Ethernet, but I imagine it is the same and a lot faster. I LOVE that it sends both SDI and HDMI at the same time. It has mounting points all over the place -- this is amazing! You do have to experiment/plan so that you can reach the various buttons and controls, but this is easy. I'm still putting it through its paces, but I can say wholeheartedly that it delivers on what it promises, especially in low light and the V-Log L profile. I plan to buy a lot more of these for multi-cam use.

This is my first switch. I purchased so that I could use ethernet for my computer, my Synology NAS, other peripherals instead of WiFi. I purchased this model so that I could eventually set up 10Gbe connection for my NAS. I wanted to set up static IP addresses. Although it took a call to NetGear to set up, I was happy that they had very responsive and great support for this first time user. The unit is solid/metal and a nice compact size. So far, unit is working quietly and has worked as I hoped.

Not much to say about an ethernet cable, except that it works.

Lots of functionally, HEOS, airplay, ethernet and WiFi.
