Setting Date And Time On Ring Security Camera

Best product I've reviewed This security camera has exceeded my expectations in all areas of both ease of use and performance. We live in a very rural setting with poor internet. We put the Lorex camera in my husband's shop, which is all metal and about 40 yards away from the house where the Wi-Fi modem is. Out of the box (which was nicely packaged), the camera was extremely easy to install and comes with a variety of ways to mount it. It pivots easily on its base - we just stand it on a windowsill in the shop. The printed directions that came in the box were clear and concise - easy to follow. The software (Lorex Home) was extremely easy to use, with step by step instructions for finding the device and setting it up. Once set up (which took about 5 minutes), we put it in the shop and I went back to the house, not really expecting a connection. To our surprise, not only did it work, but the picture quality (1080p-HD) was amazing. The wide angle lens lets us see most of the shop which is 60'x100'. Sometimes, depending on the conditions, I'm not able to use the Live view which is not the fault of the system but rather our sketchy internet, yet even then it does record any movement or loud sounds. A bonus is that I can use the microphone to tell him when dinner's ready without having to walk out there. That would be my only negative comment is that I wish I could increase the Microphone volume so he could hear it over his loud music. I was even able to talk over the microphone when I was 25 miles away (through extreme hills and valleys). We had a recorded event at 4:14 a.m. and when we looked (I had turned off notifications) it was a bug walking across the camera lens. The night vision quality was very impressive since the shop was completely dark at that time. Overall, the entire system is very well made and well thought out. We have an Arlo security system for outside and this system exceeds that in many ways - very impressive for the price point.

I purchased this camera 2 months ago for security purposes. Setting both the camera and app up was a quick process. And the camera takes extremely clear pictures both at day and night. I have found it to be extremely reliable.

We built a new home two months ago and made Ring our security systems. It is so easy to use through out phones. We love to be able to check our door bell camera and back yard security camera when we are away. We live in a fairly seclude area now and the cameras and overall security the system offers us is very reasurring.

I use these to tighten my Schneider variable ND filter to the step down ring and then to my camera for added security. Works great won't damage your filters or adapters like a wrench will.

I purchased this lens to use with a new XE-2 system prior to a trip to Israel and Jordan. The lens performed incredibly well, and it became my lens of choice for places like Old City Markets in Jerusalem, and for the scenic chasms of Petra. My only comment for improvement in this lens-camera combination is that if you carry the camera and lens cradled in your left hand so that you can raise it to your face for either eye level or or LCD viewing, it is easy to rotate the aperture ring unknowingly. The f-stop clicks are very soft, too soft, and I preferred to shoot on the red A, or all automatic, setting. I often found that the aperture ring had been rotated without intention, placing the camera in an aperture priority mode. Even if the information is visible in the viewfinder, if your are trying for rapid composition and fire, it is not realistic to try to absorb all of that information and shoot quickly at the same time. The only way that I knew that the aperture ring had slipped to f-22 or further is by the sound of the obviously slower shutter speed. This is a great lens that could be improved, in my judgement, by either more definite f-stop clicks, or some kind of lock on the A setting.

This is my favorite wide angle to date. I was in Istanbul recently and this was on my camera about 80% time. Between it and my 85mm f/2 AI I didn't nee anything else. Minimal distortion makes it a great architectural lens. It's incredibly crisp from f/4 to f/16 and definitely seems sharper than the AF 20mm (which is sharp to start with). Keep in mind it won't meter with anything under a D7000; and no autofocus means its not much for moving targets, but for any sort wide angle still short of 14mm sort of ultrawide its pretty ideal. And the construction just feels so right to the touch. Nothing quite like manual focus Nikkors
