This projector is brighter on economy setting then our old sanyo's were when they were new.

Great projector at a 8 foot throw. Games look crisp, it isn't loud, and setting up and look of the unit is modern.

Setting up the projector was a breeze. The image quality is truly outstanding, and the built-in sound system is impressive, although I prefer using an external one. The projector displays brilliantly on the 120" Epson SilverFlex screen, and I've enhanced it further with an additional Epson dongle for more streaming options. I've already suggested this fantastic purchase to my friends, and it has proven to be an excellent choice so far.

During the day, the [light room] setting can be adjusted for a moderately detailed viewing in well lit rooms. At night, the [vivid] setting with the brightness cranked up to 75-80 will bring out extraordinary contrasts that are comparable to a viewing experience recently reserved for high end movie theaters. The picture quality is absolutely phenomenal! For the setup, I used Behr Ultra Premium Silver Screen Paint (770E-2) and aligned the borders with black paper tape. Positioning the projector, aligning the edges, and painting the wall took about 2 hours and I could not be happier with the results. The projector's high contrast, jitter correction, and other software enhancements continue to leave me impressed with its quality. The Ultra Short Throw design eliminates all the wall mounting, wire fishing, and other hassles pertinent with long throw projectors. The design is sleek and the picture quality (at night) is equitable to a high end 4k TV. Watching a film on this massive screen is a completely immersive experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. It may not be the 4k model, but it is difficult to imagine the picture quality getting any better. If you enjoy viewing cinema at the highest quality, don't splurge on a TV, buy one of these!

This little projector is perfect for projecting images (4:3 format) onto any surface. Image brightness depends on size of image and area lighting. I use this to project internet video from my HTC Tilt 2 phone, as well as photos taken during the day for family events. Battery life is great (2 hours) before having to plug in the device to USB. Running off the laptop I never have to worry about the battery. Continuous projection of my laptop for the whole day (just for fun). Unit comes with 2 batteries (for quick swap). Battery life is extended to 3 hours when using the low power setting, but the image is much dimmer (I always use the high power setting).

Wow what a nice projector, upgraded from Epson 2150. This one is so quiet on medium or eco setting. I can hear the fan on the high setting. I use it on low setting and its still plenty bright. Colors pop. I use mount it with Epson CHF4000 Universal Projector Ceiling Mount.

ND's are a must for video recording in an outdoor setting, and the Firecrest 1.2 has been a reliable ND for me for all my lenses!
