Setting Up An Outdoor Theater

I have used used hundreds of rolls of this tape in an outdoor theater setting (until Covid hit). I use it now around the home and shop with confidence that it will hold the “oddest things at the oddest angles” and leave no residue.

exceptional sensitivity in a theater setting. I have a single mic hangin down center stage, about 10 ft off stage floor in a six huundred seat theater. As long as the actors speak in a normal to slightly elevated voice, the mixer and amps can do their job and pick them up with no feedback whatsoever. The item was on back order when I originally purchased it so take that into consideration if you wish to order one and you have a deadline looming. No issues so far during rehearsals. I need to order at least two more to fill the stage so I'll give another review once I have multiples.

We are using these AIDA cameras as an NDI source in a live theater setting, to live-stream shows. The image quality is extremely good, the internal web-server for configuration is easy to use, and being able to simply plug these into any power-over-ethernet port around the theater and have it up and running at a new location is a game-changer. Amazing quality and usability at a relatively low price.

Bought to use for outdoor theater. the glass is clean and sharp, i could read the music sheets for 30 yeards. Very compact and easy to use.

I bought one speaker and had to get me another one. To not only set it up for my home but for when I host parties and do my outdoor theater. The sound quality, clarity and bass is ridiculously sick.

Why I bought it:I decided I wanted to be able to do an outdoor movie night from time to time since I have a courtyard and a breezeway ideally suited to setting up an outdoor movie theater.The result?:To get right to the point, I couldn't be any happier with it. It's fully self contained - the screen pulls up out of and rolls down into it's own integral composite case which also serves as the stand by simply rotating the 4 legs attached to the bottom of it from parallel with the case to perpendicular to it. This crossbar worked perfectly for an outdoor movie theater and is the perfect combination of stiffness and weight. The screen size was 12' by 7 and my stands were twelve feet tall. I used drape clips to hold the screen in place. The end holes were a perfect match for my stands.

ND's are a must for video recording in an outdoor setting, and the Firecrest 1.2 has been a reliable ND for me for all my lenses!

Used this when shooting an outdoor portrait in the setting sunlight. It was beautiful light. I was very happy with the results and so was my subject!

This light comes in handy just about anywhere you need a little or a lot. We most recently used this little kicker in an outdoor setting and at full blast it was just enough to take away the shadows-we were in broad daylight in the shade.The filters/diffusers are a real help, too. Indoors at the lowest setting the beige filter gives an almost campfire like feel and makes a one or two shot look very warm and cozy. But there is enough gain on the built in dimmer to go as far as you would ever need.Battery life is good and the unit never gets hot. We got 13 1/2 hours of continuous use out the 4 AA rechargeable NiCads, which is much better than we expected. The price is right and so far (two weeks into shooting, we can't complain about anything. We usually travel with a KinoFlo DivaLite and we have cut back on using it when our lighting needs are simple and straightforward. Get one today and see the difference.
