Settings For Snowball Blue Microphone

I realise this is not what it was designed to do...but I use this screw to mount my Blue Snowball microphone to my GlideGear TMP-50 Teleprompter. The arm that holds the smartphone clips on the teleprompter already has a small threaded portion at the tip, so adding this screw was easy. The shaft is the exact length I needed to go through the arm. It screws perfectly into an Auray adapter. Now my microphone is mounted right in front of me (and out of the shot) and I'm getting much better audio!

The cable allowed me to move our Blue Snowball Condenser Microphone far enough away from the computer to make an online kenpo karate class audible, and instruction possible. Inexpensive, did its job, it was exactly what we needed.

I was sketchy about B&H when I looked up ''Blue Snowball'', $39.99 sounded like a sketchy price for a microphone, but after I placed my order, it shipped a few hours after ordering, I don't trust DHL after my phone case was in transit FOREVER they claimed it as ''LOST''. With this microphone though, it arrived in 4 days after shipping. I am a variety streamer and I was looking for a new microphone. Someone recommended BLUE MICROPHONES, so I looked for the cheapest microphone, and Blue Snowball was my only option since the YETI was $100. This microphone has worked ever since I got it all setup and has been working since. Great customer service helping me get the microphone setup.

The Blue Snowball Microphone is easy to use, just plug and record. I have used it for mostly voice overs, which records great! I haven't really had any issues that I can think of.

Need a Microphone for podcasting? Voice overs? or even something to record that song you've been working on for the past 10 years? Then look no further. The Blue Snowball Microphone is for you. Set up was a breeze. I was able to set up the Snowball within 7 mins and begin to use it the moment after. On setting 1 I recorded some voice overs to test the quality of the audio to see If this infamous Snowball was all it was cracked up to be. I was shocked and Impressed! The audio the Snowball had captured was crisp and clear with no unwanted noise in the background. So here's the verdict. Pro's: Clear Audio, Easy to setup/use, Multiple audio functions, Sturdy build. Con's: The only con I have found for the Snowball is that there is no On and Off switch so you have to unplug the little guy every time you want it off. Whether or not you're a professional or a beginner the Blue Snowball Microphone will be sure to be a purchase that you won't regret.

I decided to purchase a Blue Yeti Pro mic as I was making a music video for a school project and needed a relatively easy to use mic to record decent quality recordings. I decided to go with the Blue Yeti Pro from all the positive reviews given on it so far. It was recommended that I buy the Pro version of this mic over the normal one as there is a difference in sample rates. Basically, this mic is considered better for recording acoustic instruments. The Blue Yeti Pro is VERY easy to use. Plug it in and off you go! For a usb microphone the sensitivity in which it picks up noises is also really good. Every time I take in a breath, the Blue Yeti Pro records me doing it! A little embarrassing, but goes to show the great recording capabilities of this mic. The build quality of this mic is exceptional and is securely packaged in the box. I even had a little bit of trouble better the mic out of the moulded Styrofoam! Having the four recording settings is really handy and Blue makes sure you know which one is which with a well written concise manual talking about the settings. The only possible downside of this microphone is the issue of the low gain settings that many buyers may complain about. However, on the mac it is an easy fix. All you have to do is to click 'go' in the toolbar at the top of the screen, click on 'utilities' and find a application called 'Audio MIDI Setup'. Make sure the mic is connected to the mac before opening it up. Click on 'BLUE USB Audio 2.0' and turn the input and output settings up to the very right so that the values should be at 1. With that adjustment, the microphone should have more gain, so you don't have to turn the gain knob up all the way in a desperate bid for more gain. The Blue Yeti Pro is also a fairly bulky, heavy mic. But since I don't move it around much, for me at least, this is not an issue.

I bought this microphone about a week or so ago with the intent of using it to make YouTube videos, as I had heard many good things about it and had seen several YouTubers using it.Let me tell you: there is a reason. For only about a $ dollars, this microphone packs a LOT of good quality. My favorite part is how Blue desings their microphones to NOT need pop filters, and that can be seen plainly when you use it; with a wide variety of settings, you can find what's just right for you and whatever you're doing.I DID buy my own pop filter eventually, but that was only because I wanted even higher quality than I was already getting, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so Audcaity's Noise Removal option should be anough for most people.I actually expected it to be smaller and less solid-feeling when I opened it, but dear heavens is this not the case; the thing is SOLID, but not heavy, by any means.I honestly have no real complaints; I suppose the knobs for the aforementioned settings and the volume MIGHT Feel a bit cheap to some people, but I personally have no issues.I suppose it's also worth mentioning that, as is the case with many other micriphones I looked at, the Blue Yeti does not come with its own drivers of software. But I like Audacity just fine. I would gladly pay much more money for this piece.
