Shade 12 Welding Glass Eclipse

I actually purchased this to build a holder for welding lenses (eclipse photos) but ended up mounting solar filter film directly to the ring. For my application this adapter ring worked better than expected. The ring was used on a Canon 100-400.

Great solution for an amateur photographer for taking eclipse photos. Fits my sun shade perfectly!

Order this shade shortly after getting the Nikon 12-28mm DX Lens.. Wanted to have some additional protection of the glass. Keeps the fingers from touching it accidentially.

Have used it for a week. Used during super wolf moon eclipse at 12 degrees. Kept me taking images for 2 hrs.

I have used the Touit 50mm f/2.8 to photograph flowers and trees in the gardens where I live. The conditions often range from deep shade with a ray of sunlight to broad sun and back to mixed and deep shade. In these conditions, the lens remains accurate, a very necessary feature because I often must one-hand the camera, and it is certainly sharp. This is my second Zeiss lens and, including the Sony 24mm with Zeiss glass, my third piece of Zeiss glass for the NEX-7. These lenses make the camera something special.

I’m very happy with this screen protector and LCD shade.   I always put a screen protector on my LCD screens.  They have protected my cameras numerous times.  And considering the cost of replacing an LCD screen, I would much rather have a screen protector installed for its added protection.  I’m very happy with this glass screen protector.  It is crystal clear and was easy to install.  I had no issues.  It fits perfectly and you forget it is even there.  The Sony A73 I use has a touch screen LCD and it still works great with the screen on, I’ve experienced no problems or latency with the screen installed.  The specs say the glass screen has nanocoating to prevent fingerprints and smudges, and I agree.  It also is good at preventing glare which is appreciated.   I’m happy with the sunshade too.  I live in sunny South Florida and a LCD shade is necessary.  And this shade is perfect for my needs by making shooting outdoors much better.  I can see what I’m doing.  I love the design of this screen protector and shade too.  The shade attaches magnetically right to the screen protector’s metallic border.  I think that is an excellent design.  It makes it so easy to put the shade on and take it off.  You just align it properly and it sticks right on.  Very easy to do.  I also love that there are no adhesives and glue used with this kit.  That’s great.  Another nice feature is the shade is “spring activated”.  Meaning when you open the top shade, the side shades “pop open” into place automatically with a small spring on each side.  That’s cool, and makes using it fast and simple.  I appreciate that.  I’m very happy with this protective screen/shade combo.  It’s been great.  [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

I use this polarizer with Leica M 35mm lens, and wanted best glass from the polarizer filter so as not to degrade benefits of Leica glass. This slim design will allow the lens shade to be used (the regular size will not allow use of the shade). Best feature of this filter, especially with a rangerfinder system, is the index markings. I use as follows: (1) hold filter to my eye; (2) rotate to achieve the desired filter effect; (3) note the index mark; (4) attach the filter to the lens; and (5) adjust the index markings as viewed when held to my eye. The build quality feels great.

Best scope I ever owned. Glass so clear I hardly ever go above 12 power.

For $12 very good. Great piece of glass from Hoya and inexpensive!

This is the perfect filter for the upcoming solar eclipse. Precision threaded ring with glass filter. Dry nice.
