We use this Microphone for gathering television news. This style mic has been used for this purpose for many years. We still have some in use that forty or more years old.

In the mid-1950s when I was 10, I was attempting to photograph robins in my backyard using my Hopalong Cassidy camera. My mother called me and said, Here, take this salt shaker. Put salt on the birds tails so they can't fly away. I spent the rest of the day unsuccessfully trying to approach those birds. Now at 71, I just purchased the new Nikon AF-S 80-400 f4.5-5.6 G lens. The lens cost more than I wanted to spend, but the lens is even more than what I have always dreamed to own. The VR is exceptional, the focusing is fast and accurate, and the lens is super sharp. This is my fifth FX lens, and although each lens that I attach to my D600 is my favorite when I am shooting, this will be my go-to Florida bird lens. Since I am the type of photographer who actively seeks my subjects on long treks, usually without my tripod or monopod, a dependable, well balanced, exceptional lens with outstanding VR allows me to forgo my mother's salt shaker.

I'm a television and film professional and I purchase Matthews products every chance I get. This stand will not disappoint.

If you'd like more flexibility with your television, then hanging on the wall, and you want to be able to move it to various locations, this is the only stand to get. It's completely stable, infinitely strong, reasonably priced and very easy to move. I highly recommend it.

This is the second FPS6000 stand I purchased. Both are used to hold and elevate LED Smart TV's to prevent mounting to apartment walls. This stand is holding a Samsung 49 UHD Curved television and the other stand is holding a 40 Samsung LED television. The 49 television met the weight requirements for the mount and the TV is attached using VESA mount extension arms attached to the mount (photo attached). The stand is well constructed and sturdy enough to hold the television without shaking even when raised. It definitely needs to be on a level surface. The legs can extend further which will provide additional stabilization. I would suggest if using for speaker or display - to add a sandbag weight particularly if it will be in high traffic area. The stand is light enough to pack and carry in light stand bag when used to hold the 40 TV when used as mobile display.

the arc Soundbar sits in front of the television on a stand and I have added a pair of symfonisk bookshelf speakers to the side of the main sitting area to create a surround sound effect.I hope at a future date to add the subwoofer.

I am very happy with the television. It is what I expected more.

I bought the Matthews MERF stand to replace a Norman stand that had the older 3/8 stud attachment. I wanted a compact but sturdy stand with the 5/8 attachment used by today's lights. I mainly use the stand in a small home studio, but also wanted to be able to easily take it on location. I use the stand with the equally compact Godox AD100 and AD200 strobes, plus occasionally a larger Neewer LED light. The stand is sturdy even with a 41 umbrella attached. Although I generally use the stand with the legs angled, I like having the option of setting the legs flat on the floor so it will fit in among furniture. I also prefer the brake-style locks to set height rather than the clamp-style locks used on most other stands in this class. It makes setting up the stand easier since I have a bit of arthritis in my hands.

The combo head style has a much thicker pole than the baby pin style allowing for more weight. The wheel are smooth and roll easily. Great for small use setups. The stand would not survive in a large scale productions with heavy loads fully extended and rolled around. The legs are the weakest point compared to a more expensive roller stand. But for a small studio rolling a monitor or LED fixture around this works great and will last a while. We have ours built out as a web conference computer and camera setup. We mounted a camera on a fluid head using a Junior pin and have the built in baby pin locked in a horizontal position to mount a iMac to.
