Share Brother Printer Over Network

I had an 8-year old Brother printer that had bad connectivity issues in my home mesh WiFi environment. Then the time came that I had to replace all four toners, so instead I spent SIGNIFICANTLY less $$ to purchase this new machine complete with 6-months worth of toner (very light home office use; more scanning than printing). With this Canon I get modern WiFi to connect to our network. Everyone in the house can easily print from MacBooks, iPads & iPhones via WiFi. The Brother just couldn't find or stay connected to our network. Even plugging into the ethernet didn't solve that so the old printer could only be used w/ a USB cable. There are NONE of those issues with the Canon. Worked right out of the box like I expect from new tech. I'm impressed with the scanning software, too. Better than the Brother app, but YMMV So far very happy with this purchase. 5-stars. And as always, B&H makes tech buying simple. Plus next-day delivery over 100-miles from NYC. Flawless!! Brother printer needs to use brother ink. I bought another brand ink that did not work.

This is my second Brother MFC printer and I have been very happy with both (so far on new one)

Easy install as a network printer.

This took about 1 hour to completely set up and get my brother remotely connected. Overall, this is great for setting up a share. The only inconvenience is that a single folder cannot be shared with the same person. By this I mean that I can place files in a folder and share that folder with a link. But if that person has a modification to the file, they need to set up their own share on my BeeStation device via Synology account (created if they don't already have one). It would be nicer if we both can read/write to a single shared folder.

We use this in our business it is a very efficient machine, easy to use and connect with network, always like the Brother quality.

We use it at our school for live streaming to YouTube while simultaneous archiving to a network share. It is very easy to use and never let us down. Looking forward to the G2 version as it will eliminate the ipad that we currently use for starting and stopping the streams.

I use this Hard Drive to store movies, and Share them across my network. Sharing must be allowed, but the Drive itself is 100% Plug-and-Play. Transfer rate is Fast using a USB 2 connection. The drive comes with a special USB cable. The drive is powered by the USB port. Very simple to install and use.
