When my 16-70 f/4 Sony lens needed repair it was actually a wake up call. All the reviews are true. The lens is small and light and easy to handhold! Even wide open the center is tack sharp and the corners good! Stopped down to f/5.6 the entire image is sharp. Distortion at both ends is visible but correctable in camera for jpegs or in raw via Lightroom lens profiles. Focus is quick and accurate and the bokeh is nice and smooth. The Sigma colors are warm and realistic. This lens is perfect for general photography, landscape, portraits, event and travel. This lens complements my 10-18 f/4 Sony; 60 f/2.8 Sigma; and 70-200 f/4 Sony. Great job Sigma!! 5 |

I am extremely pleased with my new lens. I just got my cameria back from repair and went to photo birds in wildlife reserve. And my photo s are super sharp. With my new tampon lens. I photographed tern in flight. All but one were tack sharp. Very pleased 5 |
