This CPU is a monster performer, but most if not all out of the box configurations on motherboards are pretty horrible for it. Fast, easy tips: set voltage offset to -0.125v (reduce to -.1, -.085, then -.075 if unstable). LLC Level 4. Disable enhanced turbo. You should be able to run it reliably at 1.31v, 5.68 GHz, and maintain 60-65C while gaming. 5 |

This CPU skew does not come with a CPU cooler in the box. However not a problem as you should really use a good third party cooler. Make sure that the one you buy will clear the Motherboard components around the CPU and the height of the fan will fit the case you want to use. While this CPU internal graphics will support 8K/60 and 4K/120 not all motherboard will support the higher resolution to the external MBs HDMI. For example the MSI MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI LGA 1700 ATX Motherboard has a HDMI 2.1 port but only supports upto 4K/60 pass through. 5 |

This drive is the secondary drive in a new CPU box, mainly used for data storage. It's the latest and largest of many used over the years. No Barracuda drive has ever failed in my service; most have been used 5 years or more. The Windows 7 speed index on the new box is 5.9, and it is limited by the hard drives, but 7200 rpm is the limiting factor on read and write speeds in my non-RAID configuration. I have seen no fault in the drive's performance. 5 |
