Fast networking, easy installation. Highly recommended. The built-in outlet simplifies finding a place.You have to use Windows if you want to create your own password, but it's way easier to use the self-generating password. Only drawback is that you have to push the password reset button on all units within a couple of minutes. I'm not sure how secure it is, but it has to be more secure than wifi.It occasionally glitches for no apparent reason, but that's still way better than our wifi.speedtest.net says that I'm getting 12Mps down/5Mbps up, with around a 15ms ping time.

Fantastic wifi router, with a very sophisticated firewall built in, and pro level networking configuration capabilities. Provides an easy entry to the Unifi system - probably an overkill if you don't need multiple access points or fine-grained control over your network. But if you do, it's a great solution.

I'm not a networking specialist and use this for my daily WiFi needs at home and in the office. That said, I think it performs spectacularly well. Speed and range are great, setup is easy, and it comes with an actual management dashboard that provides a ton of configurability and information on your network.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Netgear has been a solid brand for networking and wifi connectivity for some time now. I just upgraded to a Netgear Modem and WiFi Router and both have been phenomenal! Also the Netgear app is so responsive and works so well. (It made setup easier as well)

If you’re new to networking Unify is the way to go.

I had a weak wifi signal in my shop which is about 30ft from my house. I got this as a christmas gift and it was the best gift I received. I used the wps option to set it up and it worked fantastic. I am now getting a 100meg wifi signal in my shop. If you have a weak signal this is the answer to your problem.

I bought this on recommendation from TP-Link, and it does what I needed, and very well. I wanted to add networking to my backyard shop, and already had a TP-Link outdoor EAP running to provide wifi over a wide area. I added this in Client mode to connect via wifi, and it gets full signal inside the building, so installation was very easy (~15' from EAP). Shop connects to house router and DHCP seamlessly. The downstream device is an automation hub (via TP-Link switch) that runs Z-Wave external devices in the shop and in an outside greenhouse. I can connect back to the network via wifi from a tablet, then access the hub interface with ease. The hub then meshes with another hub in the house for complete access to everything. Eventually may add more Z-Wave and Ethernet devices. Really happy with this product.

I bought the Orbi on the recommendation of two different people. I needed to have better WiFi around my house and extend WiFi to my shop. The shop is located about 50’ from the back of my house. I placed the data lite in the rear of my home and I get excellent WiFi in my shop and on my patio.
