Do yourself a favor and get these over anything near this price bracket. They out perform the Xeens and every single way. They must not have a huge profit margin on these to be able to sell them at this price. Really incredible value if you are looking for affordable PL glass

Usually when buying lenses with such zoom capabilities the price margin can get relatively high. If you're someone looking to shoot sports or just get a little more zoom out of a lense for an affordable price this is certainly the way to go. It can focus well even at max zoom which is nice for those really far away shots, however ideal range is prob somewhere around 200mm. The vr is a really nice feature aswell exept when (if) videoing it may get a little weird. The only cons I can really think of are that it feels a little flimsy in your hand due to the entirely plastic body. But as long as you are carefull it can be just as much a positive because it's lighter because of it. People call this nikons workhorse and I would certainly agree

I have the basic Canon Stock Lens 18-55mm and a Canon Zoom Lens 55-250mm. So now I have a bit of each and for the most part no further need to carry two lenses. The 10-135mm is all I need for most situations and is now my default goto lens. I was concerned about a bit higher price from B&H, but they made me feel good about my purchase. And wilh all of the feedback I received about B&H and their Excellent Customer Service, the extra I think I paid was and still is worth it. It's like buying an Apple product. Many folks call it the Apple Tax, but who does one call when you have PC/Microsoft issue? B&H is the benchmark for service in the retail Photo industry (and for many other products and industries as well). As far as getting the White Box product vs the manufacturer's packaging, as long as the product and the service is there, I'm good!

They call it the hammer for good reason! Very tough. It does look a little old fashioned in the fawn beige color (like old government furniture!) I was very surprised how short/thin it is when I opened the box. I have largish hands so even with the XLR connector, making itv longer, it is still short & feels tiny. I'd prefer a handheld mic a bit longer/thicker but will keep this for sure as it fits very easily into my kit as a backup. Doesn't need to be protected, just throw it in! The output is very low. I have to push my MixPre-D a little more that I'd like to to get a decent level. I'd recommend the 635N/D-B with its neodymium magnet. (I haven't used that model but am told it has a higher output level.)
