I have 4 of these. They took the place of random storage in plastic bags and the bottom of drawers. I like them because they are waterproof and secure, yet easy to open without breaking a fingernail, unlike some other competitors. Not expensive and highly recommended.

These are just perfect for me for moving slides from trays to a much more compact yet searchable storage that can go in either file drawers or binders.

A short note mostly just to pass along what I've squeezed into my new 30L dry cabinet (I was concerned about this before buying; maybe this info will help others with the same concern). Lying prone on the cabinet floor, cushioned by one of the included thin foam pads: Nikon f/2.8 70-200 VR II and 80-400 f/4.5-5.6 VR. Both have tripod collars on. On top of these, separated by the second included thin foam pad: f/4 16-35 VR, f/2.8 24-70 VR, and f/2.8 105 VR. All lens hoods are reversed. That's five full-frame lenses in a small space. The adjustable sliding shelf fits just above the lenses with room for my D800 and D810 camera bodies (it's a squeeze, but they fit), plus my Solmeta GMAX geotagger unit. Setup was a non-issue and the unit quickly reached the targeted humidity. And yes, it's quiet. Sits in corner by my work table but I don't notice it at all.  So now it's just wait to see about reliability and long-term performance.

This cord will allow me to install an audio component in a very shallow cabinet, and its short length means I won't have two extra feet of meaningless cord to deal with. Thank you for offering this perfect solution.

Ill be short with this. I dont know if this cabinet truly defeats humidity or not. The displays say so, but I honestly dont know because its not tangible. What I can say is the cabinet is beautiful, practical and beyond useful. Its sturdy, has a nice light for illuminating contents and display purposes and is just a nice solution for storing equipment not in use. B&H ran two very deeply discounted sales on these products in less than 30 days. I passed on the first one and when it came around again, I pulled the trigger and am very glad I did.

Great Camera Storage. This cabinet provides a clean and dry environment for my camera gear. Easy to access all equipment stored inside.

Pros: Storage my gears at the right temperature. Cons: I wish they have better-LED light inside the cabinet. The LED light is so ugly to display.

Some months ago I decided to take off my lenses from a cabinet to a transportable storage. I went to Pelican 1504. I have eleven SLR lenses, including Nikkor 80-400 and Nikkor 135 f/2 DC and all of them fit into it as a glove! Additionally this case gave me a peace of mind: there are just a very few real situations where the integrity of its contents could be threated. I just bought a second 1504 to my cameras and flashes.
