I don't have to worry about the cord fraying or twisting and splitting like many of my other cords. I know it will last a long time. This is a Great short cable for connecting my iPhone to the USB-A port in my car. Instead of using Bluetooth, I can keep it connected & charged while driving. Only issue is eventual wear & tear of the cable. Especially if you live in the SE of the Sunshine State it's not safe to keep in the car for extended amounts of time because the heat will break the cable. Fortunately the small length makes it easy to keep in one's pocket (with the iPhone) and out of the car.

The standard, white cable is a giant magnet for thieves to break into your car. I needed the black cable to keep from getting my windows broken, since it blends into the black interior. Aside from the color, the cable is thicker and stronger than the original part, so it will last much longer.
