[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got this to try to secure some files that I was a little uneasy having just sitting on a drive and in one of my cabinets. This drive seems to be well built and easy to use. First thing I had to do is set up a new password and the directions were very simple to do so. The manuals are stored on the drive so I would suggest to copy them off the drive so you can access them more easily and understand the drive a bit more. It's not really complex to use so anyone should be able to use this drive. Once I set up the password I was able to use this and move all my sensitive files to this drive and make sure they are very secured. I then tested it by giving my code to my family to access. They were able to gain access so I knew I was good. I was then able to remove the unsecured files off my laptop. I know have a little more peace of mine that my sensitive documents are secured and no one will be able to access them unless I give them the code and the drive. I would recommend this drive to anyone looking for a little more security for their sensitive files and digital documents. 5 |

....it appears so far. This is my second WD backup drive, and my first is still going strong and running flawlessly. I've tried ClickFree as a long-term storage solution, and it's been a bit of a nightmare. I bought this drive to replace it in fact, because I don't trust the aforementioned. This WD transfers files on & off itself quickly. It definitely is an External not a Removable, but it doesn't have the massive footprint (size) my old Verbatim External had. My one bone to pick: It is secure, yes. Kinda. When you install the software you can set it to always remain signed-in from your primary host-PC. Which makes sense, being that it's an External not a Removable! But I also use it with my laptop. I had to install the system-files on my laptop, then when I plug the drive into my laptop I need to manually run any one of the WD software applications so it prompts me for my password. Only after this can I see the drive when it's plugged-into my laptop. It would be nice if the drive was recognized but I was prompted for my password. I keep a copy of the system files off-disk, and I'm sure they're available free from WD's website. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this Ironkey encrypted flash drive! It holds a lot of pictures on it and I love that it has a keypad to set up a password so that of you were ever to lose it or it got stolen you would know that your files and pictures are safe because of the keypad password. It’s a good size flash drive too not too small or too large 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a drive to keep our tax information on, especially since our taxes involve more documentation than the average household. I will say that this seems a whole lot more complex than I was envisioning, especially once I saw the 34-page user guide. It was a bit daunting. It seems like there are 3 passwords total that can be used, one being a recovery password. It sounds like if I use the recovery password, it allows me to reset the main password. I have not purposely tried that method though. I do appreciate the option to have multiple passwords, just in case though. I am a little nervous that I will forget a password and get locked out, but I guess that is the risk I'm taking by having a password protected device. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This usb drive has encrypted security which is very useful when you have something private to save. It can be locked with password for security. However, I would be very careful as forgetting the password may lead to losing the data stored. It looks pretty too, I carry it in my keychain all the time. 5 |

This encrypted flash drive allows you to create a password (7 - 16 digits) that needs to be entered to access it's contents. No device will recognize this flash drive unless the password is entered first. Though there is a simple set of instructions included on how to set Admin and User passwords, I found them a little difficult to follow. The manufacturer, Apricorn, has a YouTube channel. I recommend beginning with the video: Aegis Secure Key 3.0 Tutorial 1: GETTING STARTED. Apricorn's YouTube channel also has easy to follow instructions on how to use the advanced security features of this drive. Once the drive is set up and you are able to open it, the Aegis Secure Key has a user manual in several different languages loaded on it. The Aegis Secure Key drive has a metal body and an internal rechargeable battery. It comes formatted for use on PCs and Android smart televisions. It comes with a thick rubber case that the drive slides into. I've only had mine for a two weeks. But haven't encountered any problems with it. I recommend the Apricorn Aegis Secure Key. 5 |
