Have only used a few times but seems to hold well. I like that the shoe is adjustable. Have used non-adjustable cold shoes in the past. They fit so tight I was afraid I was going to break the speedlight mounting/dismounting. Use with Canon 430EX-III RS speedlights. 5 |

this is an awesome little rig - it feels very well balanced. Only this is one of the shoes screws in so that when its tight, it doesn't face as shown in the picture - it's off at an angle so that depending on what you have attached to it, it may get in the way of the other thing in the other shoe... This is more of a screw machining problem than anything, but still it CAN make a difference and make you have to work around it 5 |

The bracket is well built. Cold-shoes hold speedlights tight. The two knobs for tightening the bracket to an umbrella pole don't keep the bracket from rotating but this is not a problem if you use all three speedlight positions. The knobs on two of the cold-shoes interfered with the tilter bracket I was using but I discovered I could remove the cold-shoes and reverse them so they would not interfere. With the reversal, the bracket works great. 5 |
