Show Lights Laser Light Projector Not Working

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this projector to replace an excellent Epson HD LCD projector. I was attracted to the laser light source and liked that this LG model had two separate colors which I thought would reduce the likelihood of rainbow patterns and indeed I haven't noticed these at all so far. The 4K is crisp and the picture is bright. HDR mode is very noticeable and I like the range of picture options. I use an Apple 4K TV and Xbox Series X so wasn't too interested in the onboard WebOS but its generally pretty responsive and intuitive so probably useful to have. The projected image does have a small thin light border and in super-widescreen 2.35:1 mode there are of course lighter bars at top and bottom; I'm not sure why with all the adaptive dimming technology they couldn't make it go really dark in those areas too, but projecting onto a wall with custom sprayed paint using MissisipiMan's formula in the AVSforum works really well with this projector and still looks better than the movie theater and is a big improvement over the Epson because of the 4K and laser technology, and is now useable in a brighter room. My advice is save your money on the expensive screen and splurge on this projector if you are thinking about it. I do think this technology is a generation ahead of the last and what's nice is it's also LG quality (I knew they made the best LCD IPS panels for computer displays as we have 6 of them, but now find they make really good projectors too) and really nice design and aesthetics. Switching on and off is fast and reliable and ambient noise seems quieter than anything else we have in the media room. We run a 30ft HDMI cable originally intended for 18Gbps through the ceiling and I was glad it didn't have to be replaced and meets all the XBox and Apple diagnostic tests at 4K/60Hz and 1080p/120Hz and works well with ARC sound too, even with a 3 year old receiver. 5 |

i wore out my SONY UST laser projector light source (running it 19,000 hours in 6 years) and replaced the projector with the SONY 98" TV. the loss of screen size (from 118" to 98") was more than compensated for by the amazing brillance of the picture. 5 |

I bought this laser projector to replace my standard bulb projector. I needed something that would cut through the ambient light and not have washed out images or videos. This is bright and crisp and does exactly what I had hoped it would do. Plus it was easy to install and set up. 5 |

The EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector is better than I expected. The clarity, color, video speed, sound quality and easy to setup. The projector is exactly what I have been looking to buy for years. I also purchased the carrying case and it is worth the money. I expected a cheap bag, this is very high quality. I have recommended this projector to my family and friends. I can wait for summer for outdoor movie night in the backyard. 5 |

you need a laser pointer if you want to do light triggering but I am working on images of a bullet going through thinks and it seems like it will work. There’s just a big learning curve and you have to be precise. it is a bit expensive for what it is, but it’s much cheaper than a high-speed camera. 5 |

Lights came very quickly, packed very well and in working condition. When I researched what kind of light I need Ive read different opinions regarding these lights. I decided to try and didnt get disappointed. I am making photos in small studio for my wifes eBay business and for this purpose these lights are more than enough. They are bright and can be tilted to the angle I need. Another plus is that they are light and can be moved with no efforts. As LED lights, they dont give much heat as it was mentioned in earlier reviews. 5 |

Out of the box, I had the bulb installed, the light mounted and made all adjustments in less than 5 minutes. Very lightweight and simple to use, this light is ready to go at a moments notice. When you add a set of barn doors and a scrim or two, you can instantly change the shape and intensity of the light. I use 2 of these lights to video tape slide show presentations. I'm able to focus the light with a few simple turns and use the barn doors to control the shape of the light so my subject is very well lit and the slide show is not effected by the light at all! Because they are so lightweight, it's very easy to carry both light stands and lights in one case. 5 |

I'm a DJ instead of using it for my laptop I use it to hold my projector to show videos. And it's the perfect size. 5 |
