I USE THIS LENS FOR HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL PICTURES. THE F2 LENS ALLOWS ME TO SET THE SHUTTER SPEED AT 1/500 AND THE AUTO EXPOSURE PICKS OUT THE PROPER F-STOP. THIS WORKS FOR ALMOST THE ALL GYMS IN MY AREA. THIS BECOMES A PERFECT NORMAL LENS OR MY 1.6 RATIO CAMERA. I MANUAL FOCUS TO 10 OR 12 FEET OR CAN USE THE AUTOFOCUS. THEY SAY AUTOFOCUS IS NOISY IN THIS LENS BUT CHEERLEADERS AND FANS ARE NOISIER SO THAT IS NOT A FACTOR FOR ME. I GET GREAT SHARP PICTURES AND THE PACKAGE IS SO LIGHT AND SMALL. DURABILITY AND CONSTRUCTION WE WILL FIND OUT ABOUT LATER. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS LENS. I NOW USE MY 50MM 1.8 EF LENS FOR VOLLEYBALL PICTURES AND PORTRAIT WORK. 5 |
