Double the batteries for double the battery life of an already standard setting performance. Ergonomic, functional and practical. It came on sale with my 6dmii kit.

It is obviously a well designed lens for this price. Its main pros are an adjustable beam (from mediaum to very bright) and independent red LED. It does has some cons. The battery compartment is tricky to open (I ended up opening it by forcing it open by gently pressing on the plastic hinge designed to adjust the position of the beam (rather than using a screw driver which will cause an excessive tear on the battery compartment lid). The batteries are not very easy to remove (a tape under the batteries would have been a welcome improvement). Another con is at that the lowest light setting is still relative bright, I would have preferred it to be dimmer. The red LED is also relatively bright - perhaps, a little too bright to preserve your night vision adapted to darkness. Overall, however, it seems to be a great, flexible, headlamp which should last for a couple of years of regular use. I would bypass models of this headlamp with rechargable batteries (either extra or the only battery option), as they seem to add bulk and trickier to install. I would used rechargable AAA batteries and carry an extra set with me.

I used the battery pouches from another company until one day I dropped one of the pouches with a battery inside and it cracked the side of the battery. A Leica battery. And you know those aren't cheap! What I found is that none of the battery pouches I've encountered actually afford protection from drops for your batteries. They're good for organization but not for protection. It's just a thin piece of fabric around your battery. I tried wrapping batteries in bubble pack but then they were too big for the pouches. The solution I found was these LensCoat DSLR 2+2 (2-Pack, Black) pouches. But it took some modification (which I hope doesn't invalidate my review). With the LensCoat battery pouches I gently undo the stitching holding the two battery compartments together in the middle thus leaving one large compartment. After doing that I can fit a Leica BP-SCL4 for the Leica SL2-S as well as all other batteries for Leica digital M's wrapped in at least two layers of bubble pack into the now single compartment and close it with the Velcro flap. (The same will work for Canon LPE6 as well as Sony NP-FZ100 batteries). I haven't actually tried dropping one on the floor, but I suspect it will stand a much better chance than the battery without any protection. Who knows, maybe this review will motivate some industrious entrepreneur to begin making battery pouches that not only help organize but also protect our expensive batteries!

Full disclosure, I haven’t used these wireless devices on a ‘job’ yet. However, I did test them and I was surprised by the results. The audio is clear and the range was quite good. Even when the subject was out of the line of sight (in different rooms etc ). The real surprise was the build quality. The housings are metal! We’re so used to plastic that anything that isn’t made out of it is shocking. The display is very easy to read and I really like the battery compartment. It sounds like a little thing, but when you’re knee deep in the stress of a wedding and you need to change batteries, it’s the little things that matter. There’s a kind of ‘pinch’ mechanism that allows for quick access to the battery compartment and it locks back in place when the new batteries are installed. Overall, I’d have to say that I’m very impressed with this product. Hopefully, I’ll remain this impressed when I actually put them in service.

Fits perfectly in battery compartment.

Since the R5 Mirrorless camera runs through batteries having this attachment to double the battery life to me is a must have, and it works excellently.

Not much to say, it's a battery. Sometimes the OEM batteries are priced so much higher, often more than double the price, of third party brands like Wasabi or Watson (which I've had good results with) but not this time. This Olympus BLH-1 is only a few dollars more than the third party brands so it's not worth the cost savings so I went with Olympus.

provides much more battery capaciity, including double AA's if the regular batteries and/or charger are not operable or available

I have the Watson double battery charger. I have purchased these adapter plates for all my camera batteries. This makes charging all batteries easy and fast. You can even charge a Canon and a Sony battery at the same time. I highly recommend the Watson charger and battery plates.
