I use this background to photograph potted plants, which are often wet and have soil on the bottom of the pots. No matter how hard I tried with paper backgrounds, they inevitably would get wet and dirty and then tear. This vinyl background is great, because it can get wet and dirty and just get wiped clean, and be reused over and over again. Very economical too since we don't go through tons of the paper anymore! 5 |

I've used this for paper rolls, but also for hanging loose fabric. PRO: It's lightweight & telescopes down to a transportable length. CON: It's lightweight, which worries me that it will break - but in several years' steady use, it hasn't. On occasion I've had trouble twisting (unlocking) its sections, to make it expand or contract. 5 |
