Shure Sm7B Price

Holds the Shure SM7b like a champ. No issues at all.

All I can say is Wow. You'll have to hear it to believe it. I tried it with a Shure SM7B microphone.

I picked up one of these as a quick purchase to give some extra boost to my Shure SM7b. I do have another brans inline preamp that I also really like, honestly the price on this was low enough for me to take the risk. I am certainly impressed with the Polsen. It does what it says, and it does it well. For the price, it's a no-brainer if you're looking to add some oomph to your dynamic, or ribbon mics with little to no added noise! I'll be ordering more for my studio. Recommended.

I bought this particular boom arm after researching others in the same price range. There just weren't many negative comments compared to other similar products. My experience has been very positive. The dual mounting options, solid build quality, quiet operation, and the fact that it stays where you put it, totally meets my requirements. Word for the wise however, if you're considering this for use with the Shure SM7B mic, you may need the Shure extension tube. This is not the fault of Rode but a consequence of where the Shure SM7B's mount and XLR output is located. Without the inexpensive extension tube, the mic's mobility may be restricted.

Can't afford the Shure SM7B? The MV7 is an awesome mic for half the price of the SM7B. When we decided it was time for a mic upgrade from the Q2U, the MV7 was the clear choice. I love the flexibility of both XLR and USB connections (like the Q2U) but the real win with the upgrade is the sound itself. Although it is a little gain hungry, the sound isolation is on point. Another huge bonus is the desktop Motiv app that allows you to really dial in your sound and the touch sensors for mic and headphone volume.

The Shure SM7B is the standard as advertised. It may be the most versatile microphone in its price range. Novice and pro will get what they need from this product - a quality mic that lasts. As with most dynamic mics, pairing the SM7B with a powerful mic preamp or inline gain booster is recommended.
