Gotta love wireless that sounds "wired". Shure's ULX/QLX continues their long-standing performance even in digital guise. With networking, RF analytics, and dead simple setups (e.g. transmitter/receiver sync button), these units deserve their place in the rack. 5 |

I needed 3 wired mics quickly and knew B&H could get them to me quickly. The question I had for myself was whether to buy Shure's SM58 known world wide for having an excellent reputation or the lesser priced SM48. Trusting Shure to not make a bad product, I bought 3 SM48s and had them by Christmas Eve for the worship service. I used all three in the service 1 for flute, 1 for clarinett, and one for piano. The sound was very good and the recording was the revelation of how good these mics really are. They sound terrific! 5 |

In my application, I run multiple XLR mics (wired and wireless) into a small Shure mixer, and from there into the mic input jack of a Canon prosumer camcorder. This transformer ensures that the balanced signal is converted to unbalanced without introducing hum or noise (of course, the amp settings matter, too). 5 |
