Side Fx Mechanical Pencil

I had the original Apple Pencil. Having to remove the end cap and plug it into the iPad so that it stuck out was annoying and made the whole thing prone to being snapped off, which would destroy the pencil and potentially damage the iPad. This is entirely better. The wireless charging with the newer iPad Pros is fantastic and a much better solution, and it conveniently acts as a storage mechanism for the pencil as well. The lack of a cap means that there is also one less piece to potentially lose. Being able to double-tap the flat side with a finger to change tools is also very convenient. The only thing to note: the flat side has been advertised as helping prevent the pencil from rolling off a table. Honestly, that isn't really true. If you toss the pencil onto a table, it will still roll pretty far, and if you set the pencil down not onto the flat face, the center of gravity will actually cause the pencil to settle with the flat side facing up. This isn't really a con, just something to keep in mind. TLDR: This is great. It's really what the original Apple Pencil should have been.

Great lead supply for my mechanical pencil. These are very thick and so far, not a single has broken even when I extend a bit. Very happy with these lead refills.

I needed a dedicated metronome to practice guitar on that had volume control and was loud enough to hear while playing. This is much louder than my digital one and much simpler to use on a daily basis. There is nothing fancy about this...it feels solid and not cheap. All the controls are mechanical, which is honestly not a bad thing for this purpose. It has a 3-position sliding switch on the side for Off, Tone 1 and Tone 2. The other side has a very simple volume dial which can be adjusted by sliding your finger up/down along the side. The tempo is easily set by turning the dial on the front. The mechanical dial clicks and locks into each position as you turn it, which is really nice. And there is also a flashing light on the front which can be used as a visual reference, especially if you want the volume all the way down for a performance for example. This uses a 9V battery which lasts a long time. I have been using it daily for over 3 months, at high volume, and I have still not replaced the original battery.

Love the doorbell Only down side is does not connect to my mechanical doorbell- even with professional trying to set it up. Waiting for lorex to develop a plug in compatible chime

i've purchased several of these and love them. a bit on the pricey side. a mechanical power button. surprised me!

The pen is such high quality and works perfectly. I can even use is to shade a drawing by using is like a pencil on it's side, amazing.

Pleased with the product, great for using the Apple Pencil. The only down side is you have to clean the screen more often but that’s not an issue, only takes a couple of minutes.

Nice pencil. It has a nice feel to it and the flat side keeps it from rolling away. Recommend a case to keep the pencil safely stored.

I thought my 1st gen apple pencil was keen. This one is more so. Less awkward to charge but it does require being attached to charge. Its fast to charge. In less than 10 minutes it jumped from 60 to 90%. Also holds a charge longer. I would be able to color or play games on with the 1gen for about 60-90 min before it was dead. This 2nd gen stills has 80% left after 90 minutes, in the same apps. It was hard to find an iPad cover that didn't have a built in pencil holder on the side. Took a week of searching. I found one that allows charging through the clear plastic on the side. Since I am homebound I don't need the pencil always in the iPad Cover carried from place to place. Mostly the pencil sits in a pocket on my chair arm since that's the only time I need to use it.

Tip: sometimes you have to put the pencil back on the charging side to reconnect and tap pair when it gets disconnected. But this is rare. And personally I have 2 iPads so I have to do this regularly. Don’t get frustrated. Also sometimes force quitting the app because it’s frozen not because stylus doesn’t work. So don’t listen to the bad reviews.
