The Sigma DG DN 35mm DG DN Art f/1.4 lens features a solid build, quality finish, comfortable controls, fast focusing ability, excellent sharpness, and pleasing bokeh. The Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM likely has an edge for sports and action photography. But for most uses - portraits, street photography, landscapes, low-light environments, etc. - the Sigma 35mm DG DN f/1.4, costing ~40% less than the Sony, represents a tremendous value.

I've always liked the 35mm focal length, and when I bought my Sony camera, I researched all available 35mm lenses. I read available reviews and it came down between the Sigma and the the Sony 35mm GM f1.4. I tried the Sony, but, though reviewers say it is light and small for what it is, it was simply too big (long). Also, I do not need f1.4. The Sigma is not all that different from the Sony in the way the two lenses render, and differences in sharpness are small enough for me. Given the price of the two lenses, my decision was easy to make. I looked at the Sony f1.8, the Sony f2.8, the Samyang 2.8 and 1.8, but I find a lens without an aperture ring not as inspiring. This Sigma is sharp enough and has a pleasant rendering, and the price is right. I like it! Works good with my Sigma 35mm F1.4 on Sony A7 II, great autofocus speed and accuracy. Very satisfied with B&H shipping to Israel.

I am so happy that I can now use all of my Sigma lenses on my Sony A7Riv. I have used it with my 105mm art and my new 35mm art and it works really well. The focus system seems to be a little bit louder than without the adapter, but I managed to photograph a family with two fast-moving toddlers and ALL of the photos came back sharp. Really happy that I found this, so that I can continue to use both my Canon and Sony.

Have both SONY 35mm f1.8 and this sigma f1.8. The build quality of sigma is top notch. It still feels well balanced on SONY a73 even with the metal lens hood. It is my favorite walk around lens now. It also has better color rendering, much less Chromatic aberration than the SONY version. Sharpness wise, I could not tell the difference between these two.

I have this attached to a Sony a6000 and have been using with the Sigma 35mm Art. Focus and Aperture work perfect. As in the description of the item states It does not work with all Sigma lenses and does not work with any Canon lenses. Yes I tried. But other than that it its nice to be using the 35mm on the sony camera.

It just works. Full auto controls for my Sigma 18-35mm Art lens on my Sony A7. Very happy with this purchase.

Got this for my Fuji X series 35mm f1/4 lens. Very high quality and easy to clean. As good (or better) than any of my B+W, Nikon, or Heliopan filters.
