I had need of a fast portrait length lens and as much as I like the Fuji lenses, I just couldn't go with a lens costing twice as much. The Sigma 56mm performed very well. Fast focusing and sharp. For the price point Sigma has a quality product.

Just a very well made and designed camera bag. i fit a Fuji X-T1 with a 56mm f1.2 on it, a 55-200mm, a 23mm and a 14mm. Works perfectly!! A little expensive...but, wow...what a nice piece!!

I was considering the 56mm but so glad I got this one! Solid build, balanced and ready for future Fuji X bodies!

I use this on a Fuji 56mm f1.2 lens for a Xe-2. No complaints at all---visible image quality is unimpaired. I use a lens hood when I have room and time for it, but for those other times, this is the best way to offer your lens some protection. I can't claim to have tested it exhaustively against other quality filters like the Hoya, B&W, etc. so there may well be a filter available of similar quality at a lower price. I didn't care to spend time finding out.

A very nice compliment to the 56mm. AF is very fast over the 56mm...super fast. IQ is much sharper on this lens. Bokeh is on par with the 56mm. I like the fact that filter size is the same as the 56mm. I wouldn't call this an indoor lens unless you have adequate lighting, which is ok because I see myself using it mostly for portraits along with a lighting on most occasions. I like the tighter focus ring but I don't like the fact it doesn't have OIS...I guess Fuji wanted to keep the price lower which is fine. When I first handled the lens I noticed a clunking sound in it and thought I had a faulty lens only to find out later that this is perfectly normal and has to do with the magnets in the AF...almost sent this lens back because of this...Fuji needs to put a note in the packaging about this. The lens is a well made metal construction and feels very sturdy. All in all a very capable lens and a great addition to my set.

Works great with the Sigma 56mm lens. Does not reduce the image quality.

This is a flat lens cap like what is on the new fuji 23mm f/2 lens. After trying that lens and lens cap, I did some research to see if there was something similar for the fuji 56mm f/1.2 and discovered this. Why is it better? With the original rounded lens cap on the 56mm there was often a doubt as to whether it was seated completely. One side would be completely in, but the other would be just barely hanging on, and then the whole thing could easily pop off. Not sure from a mechanical perspective how the flat designed lens avoids this problem, but it does. It just seems to pop into the deepest thread of the lens, every time. I think maybe the trick is in available surface to push the cap in. On the rounded lens caps, you fingers are simultaneously squeezing the raised ridges together to compress the cap, and also trying to press in on those same points to push the cap into the lens, and as you release the ridges it is somewhat intuitive to pull away from the cap, thereby pulling part of it back out of the lens. On the flat lens cap, your fingers have more surface area to press against the lens cap, even when releasing the compression spring. Hey, I'm not an engineer. Do I know why a glass of water quenches thirst? No, but I know it works.
