Use this with my HDC TM 900 when shooting in bright sun to keep glare off 3 LCD screen especislly when camera mounted on a FlyCam or other steady cam rig, and camera functions are being operated by IR remote. The hood is very well made, easy to attach, fits snugly and securely on camera; easy to remove and folds up compactly to fit in my kit bag. Looks as thouh it will last a long time, assuming I can keep track of it! The hood not really necessary if you are comfortable using the electro-optical eyepiece/ viewfinder on this camera, and your shooting situation so allows. But unless the camera is on a tripod, locked down, and positioned at eye level, I find I'm rarely able to comfortably use the electro-optical eye-piece, So this hood is big help. 5 |
