Sigma Vs Canon 24 70

No regrets on purchase or usage - the Sigma 24-70 is a great lens; tack sharp, quick to focus, nice manual focus override and image stabilization for less than the Canon version. I would stack it up against the Canon any day and expect equal or greater results. Big piece of glass up front looks impressive and professional. Nice finish; excellent build. 5 |

I use this lens for skiing and street, parties, etc.It is a great deal. I just bought the canon f 2.8 24-70 mm. and the sigma does 90% of the canon does and for the 25% of the money. Sigma has IS canon does not. Canon aperture is 2.8 from 24 mm to 70 mm.However, sigma lens is variable. It is 2.8 only at 17 mm. I cannot tell the difference at short distance. 5 |

It works reliably for my Sigma 70-200 2.8, Sigma 24-70 2.8, Canon 35mm f2, Canon 85mm f1.8. Maybe my 50mm 1.4 AF motor is worn out because it refuses to startup reliably. 5 |

I bought this EF 24-70 with OS because I have gotten into 35mm film photography and wanted stabilization to take my photos to the next level due to the low ISO of film. I have a Canon EOS 3 and with this Sigma lens, I feel like I have the best tools to make truly stunning photos. I'd rather have this than the Canon 24-70 f2.8 ii because that doesn't have stabilization and there's no way I'm getting more keepers than with this Sigma. And it's cheaper new than the Canon used. Crazy. Bonus, AF works great with my Sony A7C and the metabones V adapter for photo and video! 5 |

Adapter works well with Sigma 24-105mm F4.0 Art DG OS HSM Lens for Canon, both in photo and video modes. I also use it in photo mode with Canon 50mm 1.4, Canon 70-200mm 4L and Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 XR Di II. The 70-200mm lens is a little slow to focus, especially in dimmer conditions. 5 |

I got the MC11 for my Sony A7R iv to use various Canon EF and Sigma EF lenses. This thing works flawlessly. I've used the Canon 24-35 f2, 70-200 f2.8 is ii, Sigma ART 85mm f1.4, Sigma ART 35mm f1.4, and Sigma 24-70 ART f2.8. All these lenses worked like native glass and the autofocus was amazing. I get better results from my A7R iv with Canon & Sigma EF glass than I do with them on the EOS R. Gawd I love mirrorless. Focus is so much better and no microadjustments needed. 5 |

I am on Sony‘s 24/70 GM as well as Camerons 28 Dash 75. When sigma introduced their 24/70 I watched Gerald Undone’s review and decided to try the Sigma. The Sigma works flawlessly. I can’t see any possible reason to spend the extra money on the GM unless you need the extra stabilization. On my a7S3 I don’t see the need for extra lens stabilization. And although the Tamron was very nice, the sigma is superior in just about every way. If you really need the savings in size and weight then I guess the Tamron would be the way to go. The Tamron and the GM are great but the Sigma for me is definitely The superior choice. 5 |

Bought a used copy of the Sigma 24-70/2.8 and it did not come with a hood, so I ordered this one. What can you say? 5 |
