The Polsen XP-2 2-Channel Microphone Signal Booster is not something I realized I needed until I started using it. I am using it to boost the signal on my desk microphone and it's connected through my Senal USB adapter which provides the phantom power. It can add up to 25db of clean gain which is impressive. I didn't realize the difference this would make until I actually hooked it up and started using it daily. I no longer have to be right up on my microphone to get a reasonable signal output. The other application I tried this out with was some interviews I recently shot where the interview subject was soft-spoken. Being able to get that extra gain really came in handy. I like that the xlr has locking connectors and that this is plug-and-play. It's made of all metal and feels rugged so it should hold up to some punishment over time. This will be a good back-up internet device. Only 4G LTE, but with good signal strength, still has decent bandwidth (with poor signal it still works, but can be pretty slow). Aside from having to choose / input the proper APN settings, basically plug-n-play on the Mint Mobile network.

Long cables tend to degrade signal. This cable has the booster midway to solve that problem.

I am using a 50ft HDMI extension: source-50ft cord-booster-8ft cord. At first no signal would come though. When I added the booster, the signal worked but would drop intermittently. So I added the power adapter and everything works fine.
